it's summer and sizzling here in the valley. the desert is too hot to go riding for wimpy PPs like me. l.a. has the coast and the mountains, they are our respites for cooler weather riding.

everyone was waiting when eric and i made it to the meeting spot (e.camino/gibraltar). we had 9 riders, then 10 after bob caught up.

treadless chatting with the big adv bike riders

doug, vic's bud, on a brand new 310

on a warm day, jon and i were waiting in the shade is a good thing

east camino has some good dirt on the east end, and we have to take the pavement to get there...damn, even the slab was good too.

up on the mountain in the morning, santa barbara is obscured by the heavy fog

really doesn't matter, nature is beatiful

Just catching up. Looks like I really screwed up and missed a great ride in my own backyard and a chance to meet a few more ADV inmates. Hope to see some of you at WMRS.

You forgot to add the large rut in the corner where the on coming rider would have had to go

I'd like to pass on the straight but most folks speed up on the straights and make passing harder
So passing in the corners is what's left..... a slower rider should slow down on the staight as soon as they know
a faster rider is behind them.... not after a few turns... yes I know Its not a race but we all have a speed we like and
that's what makes it fun.
I like slid'in and fly'in the bike and that needs speed

the concrete pad was mossy, but as long you keep it straight and steady, no worry to get sideways and wet
