we need to do that , let's wait for cooler weather and augment this ride to another riding area.

We are talking about antoehr ride in September which you could do. Heal up.
vic is correct, yeah, bob. i hope you're ready in a couple of months. did you get your cush hub yet? there were 2 that was just posted on the flea market, but both are gone now.

sean, we plan on cruising just a "little" above the posted speed limit without getting the attention of the leos.

my 640 running 16/42 can maintain an average of 80 mph easily. i would go 16/45 since lots of hills on this ride.

m1jeep is riding his dr650, rich will know better.

Hi Sean, for hwy speeds (75-80) the stock 15/42 works. 16t front is ideal. The 14t is like torture on the hwy and really revs the motor too much for my taste.

..for a 950 IMO, the 16/45 is best all around. 85mph no sweat at all and you can plug along in second on fireroads all day.

He could do like Andrew dose and carry a 14 to swap once you get to the trail, I've seen him do it in 10mins.

i just swapped back to the stock counter. but my load is so heavy i may switch it back to the smaller one since i might be all wobly down the highway anyway. i will have both as its a 5 minute job to swap anyways

randy, i ran the 16/42 last trip to san simeon it was good. however, i compared our gas consumption with those running 45s and we all got the same results. therefore, no point of going 42 when the bigger one is just as good on the highway and better on the hills.

sean, good idea doing it at home, get practice and you already know it is going to work. on my 640, i could not put a 17 since the chain is too small.....duh.
