I had a great time on Saturday. It was so fun that I made the church ride too. I am sure going to like this ds riding we do. I need a few things in the future for sure. A bigger gas tank and d606 tires. It amazing what some of you guys can do with those big KTM's. Thanks Ben

ben, while your still looking for a bigger tank, just keep an eye on those guys riding 640As and always be nice to them ; they will let you have enough fuel to get you home when you need it...

dr has a huge one too.....bring beer and he will let you suck some out to get you going

hey andy, how many nOObs are you bringing?

nOObs and ex-nOObs are all welcome....the group splits into 2 once we hit BPL and rejoin either in pacifico, chilao or newcombs.

i'll bring the adv stickers for those who ordered.

Should I push the bike even further from its warranty mandated first oil change? Wasn't able to afford it this weekend (Jeep's battery died) and I'm 300 miles past the first oil change (which has to be done by the dealership to keep the expensive extended warranty good)?

Should I?

I don't think the dealer has to do your oil change, just get a few quarts of the recommended oil and the OEM filter (if your bike has one), do it yourself, keep the receipts and record in your manual to keep your warranty valid. 2 beer job at the most!

luv2race is right...just keep the receipt, record the oil change on the owner's manual, and we'll even take pix of the oil change...

Jealous of old woman...yeah...right...got some Louisiana bottomland to sell ya.

I'll have to look at my service manual tonight and check to see what tools I will need to dig out.

There is also the issue of the valve adjustment that needs to be done like...now.

Oil change and valve adjustment should be easy. Just need a new filter and some oil. Valves should just be screw type adjustment like the XR400 Joel has.

Sure he will have you going in an hour of easy work. Save a ton of money doing it yourself, or having some FF's help you.
