Very nice Joel ........looks like the roughest part so far was the cold motel rooms, only a KLR rider to keep you warm.

lucky, no carnage. a broken mirror buried in the sand will be nasty for the next victim. my handguards, levers, and mirrors have a lot of give and will twist easily to avoid breaking.

hi earl, i have a patch kit and will use it as my last resort....duh. should have them first then the tube last. thanks for the reminder. i carried 2 rears and 3 fronts so it never crossed my mind to use the kit.

we continued on without any direction other than following the pointer on my gps. go east towards the gulf of ca






finally,i see the real blue water on the horizon



not sure how much pavement we avoided, 80-100 miles, by taking the shortcut, but most of all....it was all fun.

friday morning, we met couple of riders from canada. this klr has a ninja engine....



since i don't have a spare rear tube anymore, we looked for a mc shop and found this (jayme's mc shop)...




this cost me $30...

no premium gas, i'm surprised my 640 ran well on 87. btw, on this trip, this is the last gas station that is open.

the new highway that replaced the old dirt road to gonzaga bay; barely any vehicle at all






construction in progress



about 28 miles of dirt already been paved and 13 more miles to go

hard on 4 wheels but on bikes, we can pick our lines and able to go faster












i can see the gb on the left

some peeps don't like dirt when they travel

stopped at alphonsina's for lunch



couple of riders from wa beat us to the preferred parking spots



i like the adjustable handlebar set up. you could pull the bar back when on pavement or sitting down




next adv rider comes here, please stick an adv decal there on the window
