stock up

copper washers buy them in dozens

can't use a torque wrench and apply the spec torque when reusing the copper seal or crush washer gotta use new one all the time.

no torque wrench....some people us this method, hand tight and 1/4 turn.

H8chains,

That place in San Felipe is Kiki's:

http://www.kiki.com.mx/Galeria.htm

Best place to stay in San Felipe.....a few blocks north of downtown SF....

Kiki is a rider (650 XR) and a very helpful guy....

It is our home base when we hit that area:

Aircraft spark plugs use a soft copper washer. We always heated them and then threw them in a bucket of water... Unlike most metals this anneals the copper.

Thanks Noel...needed a reason to buy a heat gun so i could do shrink-tubing and stuff. This gives me another reason to get one.

Not hot enough. You need a propane torch, at least.

I use Map Gas and a TurboTorch.. Or Oxy Acetylene, gently!

Your kitchen stove will work if it's gas, if not a propane bar b q

Yep and to also cure epoxy laminite layups, remember they painted the inside of your oven with paint. I just run a oven clean cycle after then leave the dooor open for a few hours and all vapor are gone. 1 oven/stove can do it all, cook food and process parts just not at the same time .
