I believe in ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH......last week during the full moon ride, I T-boned that tree...duh didn't see it cuz it was dark (recklessness)
and NO...I DIDN"T KNOCK IT DOWN .....

this one, you figure it out, where was I when I took the picture

The bike is laying on its side and my right leg was pinned between bike and the downslope dirt. I was glad that my right foot got stuck, otherwise I would have slid all the way down next to the AFH.

Lesson for everyone...on the way up we all took the same line and left a single tire track, after the front wheel cleared the tree, we turned the wheel to the right, away from danger and kept on going. On my way down, took the SAME LINE. BIG MISTAKE (noobiness), my left handlebar bark buster clipped the tree trunk causing the bike to tip over downhill...duh, duh, duh, duh....

Thanks to Rich, otherwise....there's no way I can get that bike upright....my head was where Rich is standing...hahahahaha, now I can laugh about it.

It was great riding with all of you guys. Now that my back feels better, I hope to ride more often with all of you!

I had a blast the whole time, met some people I only read about (here), and was pleased to ride with you all. You are all gentlemen, ladies, and scholars.

Everyone did great, watched out for each other, and I had as much fun as I can remember, seriously.

I spoke to a man who told me he hadn't ridden dirt for 30 years (I forgot your name, but you were hangin' quite well!). Amazing!

Qwiksilver had some hard times, but considering this was her 3rd ride ever on dirt, she did great! It wasn't an easy ride. I was sliding all over the place with my Sahara Enduros. I'd have made the hill with some real knobs.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I'm a pair of sprockets away from riding with you again. Peace!

The guy on the big 950 Adventure (Sito?) picked me up the first time. His advice got me through the next section. Thank you so much.

The next three were with Cathy and Dave (?). I had to take a break and eat a cliff bar. I was beaten. I was given some more lessons and things went much better but I was done. Thank you guys. You're angels.

This group will pick you up and give you a bit of advice too. I could not imagine learning without these guys.

I have a BIG bruise on my entire kneecap. I got really lucky. Yes, knee pads are being ordered this week. No trail until I have them.

Anyway, you guys ROCK!
Don't kid yourself, Qwiksilver. Your bad day was what we all go through. This is a blood sport, in a way, and you take your lumps just like I (and the rest of us) did, and will...

It'll be way better next time. You learned a lot!

BTW, guys, her dropping it before going over a cliff was the first real instance of "dropping it," rather than riding it out, that I've seen that made perfect sense. She assessed the situation instantly, and did the right thing.

Good call! As I was getting off my bike to go help her get up, I saw what could have happened. She saved herself and her bike with a great response. ADVrider material, all the way!

Nowwhat inspects everyone's riding equipment, just one of the many tasks of a leader.

Actually... twowheelsgood rode into a bee at 40mph - Apparently getting stung in the neck at high speeds will make you feel funny!
