really???

so for a second time this year you are again trying to sway folks away from established local California rally's.

you did it during DVDAZE and now with WMRS.

what gives Joel?

you would have your panties so far up your ass if anyone else did that same thing to any of your rides.

you freaked on Tbarstow for asking about LOCAL rides during one of your planned trips last year.

doesn't make sense.

Here's Bar Ten Ranch on the North Rim. Very nice people, invite you in and treat you like family. Nice lodge, pic inside too. It's especially nice seeing as how there's nothing within 50-75 miles or so. It's out in the sticks!

chris, the way you rode that 630 and carried a lot of stuff, i was really impressed. you hanging with the big bikes on the pavement was hard to believe.

i lost all my cavity fillings just to catch up with you guys......

I really don't think a rallye in Colorado is going to effect the turnout at wmrs.

LOL. Yeah, it's even geared down a bit. Stock gearing puts it way over a hundred and that is just ridiculous on a big dirtbike with knobby tires. 5200rpms puts it right about 78 and we did quite a bit of that going out to Lee's Ferry. It still has quite a bit left but then the tires and balance gets a bit vibey and it's telling you to back off.

Sure had fun. I appreciate Riddler letting me ride point for so many miles. I was worried everybody would get pissed off at me for running ahead. I was on a mission to get there because we had so many miles to cover each day. And I figured no one would have to eat my dust that way.

I laughed at him as we were burning it going out to Sublime point - he caught up and said, "Thanks for the warning on that corner back there." I guess he saw me on the binders swapping side to side in a huge cloud of dust. The corners sneak up on you out there.

I think Rich snapped this one of me. Hope it's okay to post it...

Great ride, gents!

I did the CORE Bar10 ride last May, my first time in the Arizona Strip. Awesome! I also did ~6 days solo in southern UT this past fall and am going back with Strega and a couple others in early October. The CO rally looks like a blast also!

Sorry I missed this one but this is exactly the kind of riding I'm interested in doing on the 570, when I catch a break this summer. Looking to do some ultralight camping and adventuring off the small bike but I love these big mileage rides too. Soooo much to see in AZ and UT.

Rich

there are 7 peeps already signed IN and a few more tentative for this ride, that includes those who PM me earlier. once we have 12 PPs that are 99% committed, the rest will be added to the waiting list.

here's the plan.

thursday night- camp in carrizo plains
friday - ride to pozo to cambria and motel it in san simeon.
saturday - ride to ft. hunter ligget and camp there (maybe motel)
sunday - ride home via some back roads

dirt is only 30% and the rest is pavement but mostly with the view of the pacific ocean.

going to be hot this summer, and riding along the coast is just another way to beat the heat.
