it started here

this place is a good meeting spot........

then dang trid showed up at 9, several minutes behind frank and i. poor mike, waited for about an hour....

the weather was very nice and we thought it will remain that way

once we got on top of little t....it started to rain hard, and we were wet..

we stopped and tried to make a decision to continue on or turn around...having an aerostitch on, it was easy for frank to say let's ride

mike t was wearing jeans and hiking sneakers...so he ended up going home...hey mike....bert's having a big sale in 2 weeks....

more dark clouds above

anyway we're retards....so we pressed on

the xr is back in action, noticed my brand new pants.... ...melike it kept my bottom half dry throughout the ride...

don't you love dirt without dust.....

good traction too.....

you guys who stayed home....you missed out big time

a little puddle of water sucks......

trid h8ts getting his front tire wet.....

doesn't look good where we're heading

the sun trying to break thru

my adventure

I couldn't wait to get out on my daughter's new(used) drz......but was busy in the morning, so I couldn't join you guys. got free about 1pm & decided to take the bike up the Crest to Newcomb's....
rained on me in a few spots......
I don't like to go off in the dirt when I'm on my own, so I just headed back down after a brief stop......
good thing I didn't head into the dirt, got most of the way down when the front end started getting wobbly

flat tire

found another trail on the ridge above scd

we got to the top of the offshoot above indian trail........looking down with a gloomy outlook...

from a distance we saw this...we eventually caught up with the earthriders

all the guys were down on the slope except for the girls

we got off our bikes and helped out, and from the time we got there and out, it was about half an hour and over a dozen of guys and gals.

that's a gsa1200.... ....the world's heaviest dual sports bike

glad to hear the rider didn't get hurt, the tall guy holding the handle bar.

everybody was relieved and one FF guy was happy

time for a much needed break

first time to see lots of water on scd

if you're guess is bpl...you're right

mo watah!

and heavy fog

Joel, when I left you guys, on the way down Little-T I ran into real heavy rain and got soaked even more. (Time to break in my pants/boots) I figured you guys were right behind me.

Got home and my daughter called fron Santa Clarita and said they had heavy rain/thunder. From the looks of your usual great pictures it didn't rain much up there on the trails. Glad sombody had fun........except for that lucky GS rider.

mike, it was raining half of the time but the good thing it was sporadic. get yourself a pair of waterproof boots, goretex jacket and water resistant gloves and pants. bert's has them all...
