I couldn't resist dipping my rubber in that mess. I'm glad I had an excuse to head out there.

If by aggressive you mean riding like a blind monkey on pcp, then YES. I had my Spot and there were a lot of people around for the holiday weekend. I lost count of how many xmas trees I saw in the back of people's pickups.

It is the chest mount, better known as the "look-at-my-handlebars-for-the-whole-video" mount. I got a new lid so I don't have the mount on it yet. I missed a lot of hill climbs in the video because of the angle. It's good for some stuff but really depends on your posture in different terrain. Some people are very opinionated on the matter but it's all fun and games to me. I put cameras everywhere on all my bikes, helmets, etc. I like the variety. At least we don't need to lug around a VCR with a shoulder strap attached to the camera anymore.

Awesome seeing all this snow in SoCal. I'll put the gopro on for our company snowmobiling trip in a couple weeks.

Not sure why I can't embed http://youtu.be/_llTf5rWwSc

good job aram, love the camera angle. glad to see you had a great time.

Nice vid.

Just curious how well your TE310 is holding up?

Any issues or complaints?

Thanks.

Oil drain plug is a slight nuisance since you have to use an open ended wrench on the nut because there is a tube coming off of it, but totally manageable one you get used to it. I've already stripped it since I am a master mechanic, so I'm pumping oil out of the filler until I rip the drain plug out and replace it. Light oil leak out of the area where the stator wires come out of the case (I think!). I plugged it with silicone (again, master mechainic) and it looks like it's starting to leak again after a few rides. Not sure if that's from overrevving or what.

I could use a little more tuning with the suspension but the power delivery and handling is exactly what I was looking for. I'm 5'8" 164lbs and it feels like it was made for me. I beat the snot out of this thing in the dirt and ring its neck on the street. So far it's the best dirt bike I've ever owned. I say 'dirt bike' because that's really what it is. I wouldn't hesitate to take this thing to Elsinore, Milestone, Glen Helen, etc. It's more stressful taking the freeway back from CNF.

Nice, Huskys do have a little "character" to them.

I'll be in the market for a nice dual sport at the end of this year, so I'm looking at all of my options, including Betas.

I like the Beta RS line! But, this TE310 is interesting too!

After all of the questions and polls you ended up with the 525? Oh well. You'll enjoy it after a while. Be sure the suspension is tuned for your Yeti weight though.

Congrats!

It kind of fell into my lap, for what I got it for, should be able to sell it somewhere else pretty easy if it's not for me. Who knows, maybe there is an XR650R out there for me still.

I will NOT be doing any shake down rides with you crazy mofos though. Need to figure out if I'll even be able to ride this thing first.

I've seen a few on CL, betwen $3 and 4K. There's a seriously nice plated CRF450X for $5900!

Since I already have an XR650L, I think I'll opt for something a little different next time, although there's a lot to be said for ease of maintenance, parts availability, etc, for a plated XR650R or CRF450X.
