During my short visit with Tom yesterday he was complaining about the bikes lack of ABS , so Cathy should probably pass.

Seriously, El Z looks real good, for El Z that is. He is very mobile. We had a short but nice visit.

Good seeing you again Tom. PROP THAT DAMN LEG UP!

Somehow the visual of Bob giving Tom a sponge bath is making me ill.
Anybody else?

just wanted to say thanks and 'hi!" to everyone who visited, pm'ed, called and texted me while i'm recuperating. a lot of folks have stepped up and loaned me laptops, tablets, and other stuff to make sitting around all day a little more bearable, and lonestar bob and his awesome wife even sent me a bunch of pre-cooked ready to nuke delicious food, so i don't have to prep my own.

also everyone who helped out when i had my little "event" on the trail, i owe you. had it not been for vern finding me when he did, then lior, peter, and jimmy hanging out with me til the cavalry arrived, i was very close to riding out by myself back to panamint solo. that would have really sucked, but i was starting to panic a bit.

pat (pjh66) volunteered to sacrifice a day of riding and trucked me all the way back to mission hospital in mission viejo, which is very close to where i live, and as such helped my family a lot. driving all the way to lone pine wouldn't be much fun for them.

now all i gotta do is concentrate on getting better and not go koo-koo from boredom and impatience. it's going to be a lot harder for me to win a sexy legs competition with all my new scars, but i like a challenge. as ugly as my leg's going to be, it could be worse --- it could look like nowwhat's face, and that would be a real bummer.
and now for the fun stuff --- here's a few pics of my souvenirs from DV:
