more noobie news

several noobs approached me and asked if i can be of help. they found the soft side of me....hahaha

can't say no. hate to see a noob struggling to ride only to crash. i feel their pain. yes, been there and done that many times....

so, we picked a day and trained....including myself...
this is our first (11-02-13) and more to follow.

we set camp in hesperia (near sito's wash). with the help of ben and ersin, we took turns and share what we know. we had 6 students, slugdad, tim, morgan, rob, al and portabill, and not all are true noob.

first drill was get on the pegs, focus on balance and bike control

next was turning

eight year old morgan

pyypp the perpect porm........hahaha

the practice area didn't have the hard packed dirt and hard to do the turns in 4'' of sandy top soil.

jumped on the pavement so we can to the fundamentals without worrying about getting washed out

ben making sure everyone has a foot on the peg

what did we learn so far?

here's a hint

ersin volunteered to lead the figure 8

more later.

next lesson is power braking aka panic braking....

not the easiest of the drills. everyone was a little cautious. the goal is to place your weight on the rear wheel, butt as far back as you can. apply both brakes so bike comes to stop while the wheels are starting to locked up.

finally someone nailed it
