I am useing the MotoZ on the 990 also. Will get 3K out of it just like the 908, I am happy with it for the most part at half the price of the 908. To me it handles kind of like a trials tire on a small bike, has good grip but sliding it around is not as predictable as the 908.

I have only used the rally pro tire on the front but might try the 606 next change to see if it will hold up better. Destroying the Rally Pro side knobs pretty early on in its life span.

Rob, if your experience is the same as mine, the 606 will last about 1/2 to 1/3 the life of the 908 and develop a really weird wear pattern. You'll save money with the 606, but in the end the 908 front will be a better value.

I have not tried the 908 front tire yet. I have been using the Pirelli scorpion Rally Pro in the front since I bought the bike. I am happy with the grip and the overall milage of about 3K miles but this time the outer knobs have been destroyed early on. Probably because I am pushing the bike a little harder this set. Have you used the Rally Pro front before, if so did the 908 front hold up better? Sorry for the tire topic.

dave, at the end of munz ranch road, make a left (west) and before you get to the visitor center, there is an uphill road on the right (north) that will take you directly to the poppy field.

have fun smelling poppies!

Rob, the 908 front tire is the best tire for the adventure I've used yet. I have gotten anywhere from 2000-3500 miles out of the 908 compared to 600-1000 for the 606. The great thing about the 908 is that it handles ruts and singletrack way better, the side grip is awesome.

All this tire talk blows my mind when I think about the 5k miles I got on one set of D606's on the DR650 when riding the CDT loop.

I have the motoz tractionators on the 690 and man what a difference. Way better traction off-road. Pavement is sketchy till you scrub them in.

motoz tractionators

I'm running the motoz tractionators (front and rear) on my SE and I've had no issues. They are noisy but they hook up great. Just a few dollars over a $100 is well worth it.

Little more detail on the Chile-Argentina adventure

We start in the lap of luxury

All you can eat

or all you can carry

Say goodbye to multi-story buildings

And find the road outta town...ah clean bikes

Open the lungs

Sleep places like this

Unless things go wrong then you sleep at the border station at 15,000 feet in a place like this....and we were lucky to have it...

Ever ride the salt?

This is no speed run lake....hahahaa

Eat in places like this....not bad

Buy gas like this...

Add some color to your life like this...

Have coffee with new friends....

Run up a dune at 13,000'.....stupid idea

As there were several BMWs we had to end with Starbucks...
