Hey guys, thinking about a new rear tire.
Bike, 12' 690 R
Riding style, Loose, inconsistent, fast, and heavy on the breaks.
Front tire, TKC 80

I am trying to decide between a knobby and a trials. I will run my K60 when im doing mostly street, but ill swap when I truck out to the trails. I am considering a D606 or a mt 43. Any input would be gladly welcomed.

MT-21
Put one on the front while you're at it unless you can find a Scorpion Rally.

The MT21 was shredded on the 690 in 1k miles. Heard good things about the Tractionator Desert HT, mounting one up this week on the rear. MT21 on the front is good, though I will try a D606 next for the hell of it.

3K up front and 1K in the rear seems about right.

Nope, 690 isn't the right bike for me.

I'm balls deep into my new to me 990 R, just got my suspension back last Saturday and did a long list of mods while the bike was torn down. Getting very close to being set up just right!

Nice bike T....for your size and that bike....look at Black Dog's extended and lowered foot pegs....they are on my 690 and 1190....huge difference....

Don't forget the 690 has this set of cheaper pegs (relatively speaking). HUGE difference in how the bike handles and reacts to inputs now.

Your 990 is looking pretty sharp there Todd! Is that also serving as your commuter bike?
