shawn.

you are right in both counts, but the bigger mistake i think is those who have the intelligence and resources are either they don't care or don't want to get involved! we never miss it until we lose it.

I had Rowher all to myself today.

There was a nice little breeze in the air to keep things cool too.

nice pics dan. your bike look sharp. not easy riding the 690 on those skinny tracks. good to see you made it home and posted the pics.

as long you keep moving, the heat is not an issue. only if something goes wrong, that's when it will get us.

we (3 advriders) were in thousand oaks yesterday and had dinner at fireside. if i knew your #, we would had invited you.

Welcome to LA Yellow Pig! Seen your posts a lot on the 690 thread, and recognized your name when you posted here. Hope to see you on the trails soon!

Gotta keep it interesting. Seems like 80% of Rowher could be done on the 1190. A smaller bike would be too easy and not enough of a challenge to be fun. Although I do miss my 530. Had to sell it because of all the Green Red sticker shenanigans here in Kalifornia. I prefer a plated bike. They are much more versatile.

Support rider wanted for a marathon in Azusa:

I'm friends with the race director for a new marathon debuting this fall, REVEL Canyon City Marathon and Half in Azusa on Saturday, November 15th, 2014. The marathon starts up at Crystal Lake Cafe, and finishes in downtown Azusa.

She's looking for 2 x motorcyclists to carry their photographers for the race.

Will be a cool gig if you like to ride motos and see people do cool stuff with their fitness. I would definitely do this, but I'll be coaching and riding moto-support at an Ironman in Tempe that weekend.

PM me if interested and I'll put you in touch with her.

i am looking for volunteers who have "sawyer's and first aid/cpr cards" to work at angeles national forest.

class a, b or c card holders.

work schedule is on weekends @ 8 am to 4 pm. no salary, but you could use your donated time as a tax deduction. work starts to be determined, maybe 0ct 2014.

Riding this weekend?

Hey,

My Elefant and I moved to the LA area a few months ago. I've done a bunch of great riding around the Crest and the Malibu canyons. I'd like to find some fire roads or big bike friendly trail riding. Anybody riding this weekend or have any suggestions?

Jay

beautiful bike.
I have the Super Sport-ier brother. love that motor.

Lytle Creek and Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead have some dirt for ya. also some twisties and dirt in and around Bouquet Canyon north of hwy 14.

btw, Boone is a beautiful area. the Blue Ridge Mtns in spring are so lush.

Head north, get out of LA to Kern county's mountains, you will find lots of big bike friendly trails.
