Man, just ran into some cash so I can get the XT serviced and tire'd, but doubt that'll happen in time for the weekend! Hope to ride with you guys sometime soon!

Am quickly realizing my little dirt rides are pretty lame... went to Angeles Crest on Monday to ride thru a trail that I thought was pretty fun and long - to do it in 10 minutes! Uh... WTF just happened? Ok, time to graduate to better trails! :-)

Also went to check out the trail closure, and sure enough! But I think the closure is for the camping area (which you have to go thru to get to the trail?), cuz Buck Horn was closed too for the season. Damnit! I wanted to camp in Buck Horn!

Oh and speaking of better trais, there's a part on Lynx Gulch that scared both my friend and I, about 2/3rds of the way. Seems to drop, get pretty steep, and lean towards the cliff. We stopped for a few minutes trying to figure it out - tried chickening out but we where already too far in. So we crawled thru it. Anyone know the area I'm talking about? How do you normally go thru it?

Yeah, I was afraid someone would say that. Man, that place is freakin' scary! Looks like we'd fly right off the cliff if we gave it any speed.

Yep, confirmed - I'm out for Saturday.

Dropping the bike off for service and it won't be ready in time for Saturday. But hopefully I can also get some new tires installed and be able to go break them in on Sunday if anyone wants to ride with a n00b - altho that depends on the status of a previous engagement - that I rather do than go riding. heh
