If nothing else my bike makes for a good model.

::mod edit:: take weapon talk to JM please, this is a riding thread

Rruugger...what kind of bow do you have?

Just last night I picked up 1/2 dozen new arrows for my old bow...a Martin Cougar II if I remember correctly. Haven't flung arrows for maybe 13 years...dusted off my bow last weekend and took it to DC Archery so they could check to see if it was still servicable. Got a clean bill of health.

I think next year I will pick up a PSE Stinger, which I have heard is a very good bow for the money.

Boy technology has sure changed! Arrows are smaller diameter, trigger releases (I just use finger tab), all kinds of fancy arrow rests, new cam designs and different looking bows. I'm just a target shooter...I'll be happy just to hit the hay bales after so long off.

Those venison steaks should be tasty!

So Sito is playing hookey today? Raining here (by Little T) hope he has some rain gear!

What's the plan Friday? Lynx then...

Oh yeah...Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Well, had the motorhome at the beach all ready for the holiday. The girlfriend does'nt want to go! Rode the Ducati up to Ventura last night (in the rain). Trailer, bike and motorhome back home this morning. F' it I'm riding Friday. Which 7-11? Sounds like I stirred up a hornets nest while I was gone! Sorry about. I'll start a wild game thread next time.

If you measure a man by his enemies I'm not much, but it sounds like I have friends. Razr no offensive have a Happy Thanksgiving with what ever your eating. Lets ride! (my first passion, but not my only one.)

Friday? Uhh.... how long you guys plan to be out riding? I may join but then break off - if I make it back from my family's reunion.

For those of you who need a map, here you go:
http://tinyurl.com/6bg8g2

Still haven't gotten out to check out Little T - picked up the bike in the rain and, man - what a difference riding my scooter vs a "naked" bike in the rain. Normally I'd be dry in this - with the XT, my legs are soaking wet! But the rest of me is dry!

Need to find some rain gear!

When: This Friday @ 9AM
Where: 7-11 is across Jack in the Box

There are several gas stations along Foothill Blvd. and you can fill up before meeting us.

The plan:

Start at Oro Vista - residential street (watch your speed limit!)
Big Tujunga - pavement and twisties
Angeles Forest Highway - pavement and sweeping curves
Upper Big Tujunga - straight pavement
Bottom of Lynx to Mill Creek Ranger Station - nOt for nOObs

----Alternate route for nOObs: AFH to SCD to Little T. If the skill level is better than a fresh nOOb..do 4N24, Sitos Trail, and BPL!

continuation...from Lynx - Wzl Trail - Aliso to Sito Trail - 4N24 (or BPL) - SCD - Indian Canyon. At the bottom of Indian Canyon, we turn around and back on SCD. At the top of Indian Canyon, we decide to go home or do 4N24.

I am afraid that we will be in the middle of nowwhere at around lunch time, so please skip the cereal and have a big breakfast .......

Sognix thanks for the map...
