Need to ride this w/e for sure, just not sure where. Would like to get as much dirt time in before big bear.

At least 100 miles of friendly dirt, but like Wzltech mentioned, you can add another 100 miles more of dirt to the ride if you we'll include SCD, off shoots, and Lynx!

The rest of the ride will be twisties (I know you love curves), and no straightways!

hm.... 100 miles on the dirt + twisty pavement?

I'm pretty slow in the dirt, i'm slower than molasses on the pavement!

Joel, if i go will you take your patient supplements?

Also, can I stage near the 7-11, or is it better to stage over at the dam (park area) like last time?

Same route like we did together the last time, then have lunch at Rock Store, and afterwards go up to Sawmill.

Meet at 7-11 off Osborne at 8am

Ride up to Little T (16 miles), Sand Canyon (6 miles), Vazquez (4 miles), Bouquet (14 miles), Spunky (6 miles), San Francisquito (5 miles), 6N24 to Lake Hughes, to 7N01 (combined dirt miles is about 25), finally lunch at Rock Store. Mostly all pavements are sweeping curves and tight twisties.

About 3 miles away, to Sawmill - now all dirt, to 7N08, to 7N23, to 8N04, to 8N05, then have the choice to take the Old Ridge Rd or Pine Canyon Rd on the way home. Total about 35 miles of dirt. The other option is continue on 8N04 head south which turns into the other end of Old Ridge Rd and parallels the 5FW South, takes you all the way to Lake Hughes.

See map below, yellow is pavement, while the dirt is in pink (noobie's color)

If you want to take the 5FW, then take Old Ridge Rd becomes Lancaster Rd (HW138) and hit th3 5FW.

If there's still plenty of daylight or energy left, about 20 more miles of trail can be explored but all of them are dead ends.

I will try to get some coordinates that we can load on you guys's gps.

Artboy probably know this area very well that he can lead the charge.

You can park your truck across 7-11 or in front of the empty corner lot before 7-11, convenient and safer than the park.

Don't worry about the pace, our ride is always "ride your ride", we got all the advanced riders trained to wait for us at the splits! Those bitches everytime I caught up with them, they're all relaxed, jacket, helmet and gloves off, and pretending that they've been there waiting for a long time.

anybody want to leave a little later.

I have a friend in montrose i'm leading up to hidden springs in a truck then I'm continuing on to Lake Hughes on my own on basically the same route. But we aren't leaving until about 11 or 11:30 from angeles crest and foothill. I have to help my girl get her car into the shop before I leave. I am fairly new to this group riding thing so if anyone is interested in a late start let me know.

That works for me! I'm PMing you my cell #. Maybe we could shoot straight out to the Rock Inn and do the 2nd half of the ride.

Hey crew members if i'm not there by 8:15, do not wait around. I worked the night shift and feeling a bit worn out!! Might have to take a rain check on this one. I'll see how I feel after the drive home.
