This thread is very fast moving. If you mean the single track that heads North,it connects to SCD in 500 yards. If you mean the scary fire break that heads South,This is not for the faint of heart.
I hope you guys are having a great time.I am about to throw on my gear and ride here"staying off slab".

Toby

+1 What he said.

Big turnout today, nice meeting everyone, though I've forgotten all your names already...

I left early to go to the motorcycle show but decided to stay home and instead.

I have to say, last time I went for a Sat Ride with Dunerat and Nowwhat and them guys, was not really fun. I dropped my bike in my own parking lot before I even left. I got wet, it was bite assed cold, the dirt was like talcum powder, I crashed a lot, hurt myself, the food @ Newcombs sucked and the waitress was fugly...

Plus, Nowwhat was just showing off, he was riding so well was just to embarrass me I'm sure.

Today, I got off to a rocky start by getting an earplug stuck WAY up in my ear. Then, just because that's how I roll, I got the other one stuck too!

However after my trailside lobotomy, my riding today was a lot better, the dirt was WAY better, and I had a really good time meeting and riding with you FF's. Too bad I missed the water crossing, Joel will have to wait to get that picture of my bike resting. The food tasted better & The waitress was actually pretty cute! (though frankly the ugly one was a better waitress)

Hey....no flat tire today..... ....

What a group....18 riders with big smiles on their faces...We only lost 1 person....

Paging Bouncing Billy to the White Courtesy Phone...

Like trying to herd kittens today....riders just flying everywhere.... ....We would lose a group...find a group....lose a group etc....

The ground still had some moisture in it allowing for some fun hill climbs...

Good times....thanks Joel.....

Saw quickslver on the trail and she is getting well..quick....Dale was fearless on the GS800 and the hill climbs....Yzlvr is now officially..."Coach"....H8chains was actually standing when I saw him...

Thanks again everyone....great day...

I'm home. Dead tired. Not sure why.
But had fun!

Quickslver and I were held up by a car accident on the way home on Angeles Crest - car going to fast crossed the double yellow, locked up, hit oncoming truck, slamned into the side of the mountain and flipped onto it's roof. Didn't see it happen but did get some pics of the car on it's roof (iPhone pics from a distance tho, so won't be so great). I'll post pics soon.

we couldn't turn around to go the other way cuz we would not make it to the next gas station. Had to wait it out.

Waved Goodbye to Quickslver on Foothill and I rode home via Chevy Chase.

Bunch of us are hitting the bike show tomorrow, plan to be there when they open.

-Sergio

20 RIDERS....if you add Rhinoeater and Klammer who came late and followed our tracks. Eventually caught up with us at Newcombs.

We also lost our ride leader Artboy...he was in front and we never saw him stopped. He must be at the bottom of the canyon as i'm typing....

Good day riding and it was fun...thanks to everyone for showing up. Hope everyone made it home, please check in so we know you made it home safely.

Thanks klnkern for the pics.

So NW, how did you end up crashing and hurting yourself? Hope you feeling better.

Joel
