Eric, David and Jim hung with me until AAA showed up....(my last free tow of the year) ....took it right to the dealer as the bike just got serviced and this was the first ride on it after the major service...

KTM Santa Monica waited for me and a crew of 3 came out to the tow truck...5 minutes later they were pulling the bike apart....GREAT SERVICE.....

the guess.....guess that is....is the fuel pump...the pump is getting power and the points are good but it does seem to be pumping...as it was 6:00pm and I didn't want them to rush the job...I just left the bike there and went home....

What if any were the symptoms leading up to the failure?

He said it just died, like it ran out of gas. Time to carry an extra fuel pump.

NW: please let us know what's broken on the bike when you find out. I'm guessing it's electrical. If it was gas it wouldn't just die. We all know how a bike starts to spuddor (sp) when you "go on reserve". Could be as simple as a fuse, or the key switch went bad. Mine has been acting up.

Good luck. Stupid orange bikes.......

snow and ice ride

outside temp when i left the house

i was late, the 640a had a flat tire on the way, turned around, went home, and switched to the xr400

i was 20 minutes late and good that the FFs were still waiting.

the most photographed house on this thread

the lineup, less marty, 8)H, dale, and ryan...all for a big surprise

sergio, ben, and dale

doghouse riley is back after a very long hiatus

mostly oranges and hondas

marty's bike has this neat hand warmer....

nice view of sand canyon road

at the west end of scd

ben was clueless what's ahead

dhr likewise..

then ryan joined us just to warn us what he already went through

we want to see it for ourselves, so we moved on....

oooops!

it didn't take us long to give up and turn around

dr after his second stunt, the damage was too costly, and too many to list

no rock spitting for the SEs today

we stopped and planned what's the next move

meantime the super enduro boys was forced to do a tech day.....

you guys are ordering the same part number anyway, and you could save shipping, buy them from ktmhutt

the case cover is magnesium, the shipping weight won't be much, but the brake pedal will be extra.....

dale's timing to install the crash guards was perfect, and lucky enough to save his pristine gs

but the fall strained his muscles, hope you're feeling better now dale.

all of the sudden, out of nowhere, this rider came by laughing at us

the sun was out , and it was really a beautiful day. we want to see dirt...so we headed down to sand canyon to soledad, and hoping indian canyon will be the ticket

the leg didn't bother dale, he wants to ride...

adv hooligans on the move

soledad is a beutiful road, and fast. a tunnel was cut through the rock

ryan....the new kid in the block, glad to have you aboard..

spafxer prefers the snow patch

sergio having fun on those street tires

after about 200 yards, deep snow.....

sick dogs

After seeing the pics loaded up the kids and headed up the scd.All i can say is you guys are f king nuts. The black ice near little t was a handful in my 4x4 trk let alone on 2 wheels. Many others must have had the same idea ,not many bikes but lots of 4x4's and in the deep snow sections ruts almost 18 inches deep .Only made up about 2 miles past sitos trail junction the snow just to deep, and the kids startin to whine three failed attempts on one climb and two recues (love them snatch straps)homeward bound.Saw lots of tracks on some of the climbs ,sorry i missed you guys

you start collecting enough stuff NW and you'll have to hire someone to... umm... look after them for you, like Leno does. Let me know, I'll make sure they are all running right for ya. Nothing like "test miles" to work out the bugs.
