hi bob, thanks for the tip. if we're ahead of schedule, that's something worth taking or we can do it on the way home.

now, it seems rain is just over the horizon, wed, thurs, sat, and sun.....

is it true that it gets icy on hw33 after the rain.... , we have enough 950s in the group to melt them away....

Ice and snow on the 33 is mostly melted only a little on the back side.
The next rain is going the be wed./thurs. a warm storm so no new snow
on the 33 but the strom for the weekend is going to be cooler so maybe
more ice and snow on the 33 who know's. I was on the 33 right after
the last big snow.. they had the chain sign up at wheeler there was lots
of snow that day but I rode over the top and down to Quatal canyon
for some fun snow riding. Sat.should a great day for a ride.
Have fun

I would love to meet you guys in Santa Paula since I'm coming from Oxnard. I'm finally done with chemo and looking forward to my first off road ride in 25 years.
Cmon!

Instead of backtracking to the 118 from Roxford and meeting the Ventura contingent in Moorpark, how about meeting up in Santa Paula. We can head up 150 (10th St in Santa Paula) to Ojai and the 33/ Deer Lodge..

Riding out the 126 is nicer than 118, and if you want some twisties turn south on Torrey Rd in Piru jog right and left again to stay on Torrey and turn west again on Guiberson Rd. Near Fillmore you can jog down to South Mountain Rd. This will take you west all the way to Santa Paula. It's not dirt but almost as much fun. Just watch for farm vehicles.

Glad to hear your well for a ride. We can meet up in Santa Paula at 10th and Main 7:40 am. I don't think anything on that corner is open that early. Regulator is there a better place to meet near that corner to wait?

For Malibu, Newbury Park riders I think coming through Somis and up over Balcom Canyon to South Mountain Rd. is another great way to get to Santa Paula.. Also anybody meeting up in Moorpark, take the back road (Stockton Rd) to Balcom Canyon. Less traffic, more fun!

Hey gang! I'm not familiar with this ride considering I've only been on one with you all. But, I might be down for this one.

How long of a leash should I get clearence from the boss (wife, lol) for?
How long of a ride is this, hours roughly?

Can someone PM me the exact meeting local, so I can map it?

Thanks!
Another noob!

HUUMMMMM, those are hard to come by. But, good advise traveltoad. Thanks. I'm going to work it. I'll get back to the board later this week to confirm.

Looked like a kick-in-the-pants ride last weekend. Glad I missed it. LOL

jim aka spafxer mentioned of camping, i would love to do it but the temp drops to high 30s and i don' t have a gear or equipment for that. also, that means, firewood...some one trucking could help on that part. selby camp is a great place to camp.

brian, we meet at the gas station next to denny's off roxford exit on FW5 north. around 7am.
