Thumbs down Carrizo Update

The weekend ride crew rolled into the Carrizo about noon. Weather conditions and rider's spirits appeared good. I am looking forward the ride reports.

Soggy but fun day

Well, I changed my mind at the last minute this morning and decided to meet up with the FF's in Camarillo.
By the time I got there I realized my rain pants leak in the crotch- my pants were wet all day.
The rest of the guys showed up shortly after 8:00 and we were off to Ojai for breakfast.
The ride was wet all the way to breakfast - it was light rain but NW consideres it thick clouds. He's nutts.
Breakfast at the Ojai Cafe was good and we headed to Carizzo.
The roads there were a blast- I have never ridden my bike so fast on dirt. My bike maxed out around 85 when the big bikes started to vanish in the distance ahead of me, Daaamn those 990's are fast.
Played around in the dirt then off to lunch/dinner in Maricopa. I think we ate at Tinas Cafe- I suggest you do not order the Spanish sandwich, trust me.
Then NW, JohnGil, and I slabbed it back the fastest way we knew wich was the 5 and I just got home.
All in all an epic day. I am very glad I decided to go.
Thanks to all the FF's that showed up today and made it such a fun time.
Pics to come soon.

Woody

I've been home 20 min. and I had to make a stop in Ventura, and we had a most excellent ride over 33 AGAIN in the daylight..and I'm a slow typer

Had a great time today.. Will have to work on that automatic front wheel locking device. Maybe Trailtricks can set me up with the front fender kit and brake lines.. ????

For those waiting for the RR....:

1) Don't put a digital camera in a pocket that you THINK is waterproof..pics will have to come from others...

2) Teaser....MUD + a LOW fender = Stuck wheel.....or should I say wheels...

3) Carizzo is a great place to practice your 100mph + dirt skills....

4) Just wasn't the same without H8chains.... ....

i have this feeling nw and crew are pushing hard to get their kitchen pass privileges revoked...sunrise to sunset rides...

unless you have this...

i have good experience with my canon sd400, it got wet, dropped over 12 times, tumbled, been on all our rides....and still working.

the olympus shown above is $400, however i chose to get another canon, the sd790is, half the price, far better than the sd400, has image stabilization feature...good for taking picture while moving, then i bought a $35 warranty for 3 years- no question asked.

4) Just wasn't the same without H8chains.... ....
hahahahaha........you young blooded guys have been forewarned......
