Agreed,, 101, 33 to Ojai in Ventura, IN Ojai, Montgomery St is just past the downtown fountain (arches arcade) area. Right turn then it's on your left.

The directions say to continue on 150 because the 33 turns to the left about 1 1/2 miles before you enter Ojai proper.

Close to 2 hours, when towing.

Yeah, but I got a ticket for towing over 55, in the slow lane.

This is after following Joel trailering that morning at 70 + in the fast lane!!

I just happened to hit a rookie out of the academy I guess. The cities need the $$$.

trailering to ojai to hw33 to carrizo is going to be tough.

the best way is take the 210N then north on the 5FW, exit on 166W to maricopa to carrizo. you'll get there in 2 hours, that's a straight shot but no breakfast...

if you want breakfast that means leave your house before 6 am, take the 126w, 150 north (twisty narrow road) to ojai, then breakfast, take hw33 north, twisty highway, and you can't go fast, and if we leave after breakfast at 9:30am, chances are it will take you a couple of hours to reach carrizo. ojai to maricopa is about 72 miles.....45 minutes for nowwhat and yz... , but for us on bikes it will still be a little over an hour. we have to be in and out of maricopa by 11AM!

rruuggerRight on! Maybe I'll ride to Pozo. W'll see what the morning brings. Riding the Duc so don't know how much dirt I feel like traveling on.

maybe ddennis can enlighten you that he rides his 250 ninja in and out of carrizo....

if you decide not to go to pozo, hook up with dale aka ccer, he will ride carrizo, turn around and ride home via nerroeste (this is a fun road assuming there's no snow on los padres).

tridGot it on Roxford....

Did I read this right??? Rolling throu Ojai @ 6:30 PM?

trid...yeah on the way home, and YOU CAN'T USE THE SAME EXCUSE YOU HAD LAST WEEK.....

meet us at roxford at 7am, and if you take the 210n, you get on the 5S, 5 south, ok... and head down then get off at roxford...

The roads are dry! My wife drove the length of Elkhorn on Tuesday and she recalls no mud (and it just snowed on Monday). I have ridden all the roads out here on a 250 Ninja. I have only fallen once (so far)! Just don't try to "charge" on the street tires.

As you guys head up 33 out of Ojai and near 133, you will pass Ballinger Canyon Road heading off to the right. As you pass, wave to the ranch on the top of the far distant hill..... it is SongDog Ranch... the spiritual home of the Advrider Warped Rally.... Long Live SongDog... killed by the stroke of a Santa Barbara County Bureaucrat's pen.

That reminds me... time to sign up for Warped V

[quote=h8chains]anyone trucking/trailering....here's a link to park your truck, courtesy of ddennis669.

A is the gas station; B is the parking spot

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...50039&t=h&z=15

once you get to the shell station, go south on the 33 same as 166, get off on elkhorn grade road (right turn)...that's a dirt road and keep on going until you find the parking spot. wait for us there.

hopefully ddennis can wait for you at the shell gas station or carrizo entrance, and lead you to elkhorn and into the parking area. ride back together to the shell station.

450exc....if you can sustain an average speed of 60 mph on the hw, you'll be fine. once on the dirt..you'll be king.

the 65% street is the ride from house to maricopa and vice versa.

then on sunday..do the oil change and valve adjustment...hahahahaha, if you don't want it, truck it to elkhorn and join cathy.
