Sounds good, 9am at the Shell Station. Have to see how my suspension tweaks work. Amazing how nasty fork oil gets in a relatively short time...ugh.

I think FMFpunk we'll join us too.

Hey Trid, Welcome to the insanity.
Are you a noob to riding also or just to the site? Lynx isn't that bad, but there are a few spots that make folks nervous if they are kinda new to dirt. Looked at your profile, the Honda will do just fine...assuming you're running something a little more dirt worthy than street tires.

Anyway, join us if you like (you know which Shell Station we mean?) and we'll see if we can get you into trouble.

I'm staying clear of you Riceless!!! At least for a while...
thanks for all your kind words & support of my new baby!
Have fun on the LA ride. For now she's mainly going to be my comuter to & from LA. I now live in Irvine for the time being. I still will go on rides up there with the usual gang on my DR (pig). I also look forward to meeting the ff's from the OC!
Later & carry ur JB weld!

What a day..... ...

weather in the 70's...sun....no wind....not one other bike on the trail....perfecto...

The characters...

Wzltech aka Don aka Coach
Fmfpunk aka Marty aka Speedy
Artboy aka Chris aka Super Sweeper
Trid aka Paul aka Noob aka Evil Knevil aka Johnny Knoxville...
Nowwhat aka Mike aka Dumbass...

We started at the Shell Station and bombed up the Crest and AFH to the bottom of Lynx...from the top of Lynx we rode down to the bottom of the BPL road so we could ride the good stuff up to Mt Gleason....that dumped us out at the beginning of Mt Pacifico Rd....which we took across to the 2 and Newcombs...

As we did not have Joel with us...pics were few and far between...

The water crossing:

Wzl

Fpunk

Trid

ArtB

no pic of me...I just jumped over the water to stay dry...

The Adventurer of the day award goes to Trid (Paul) who showed up on his pristine...new to him...XR650L...flawless bike...that is until a mistep mid turn resulted in him taking a nap face down... ....scratches, a big dent and a tweaked (badly) ankle could not stop our hero from continuing... not to be out done he then ran out of gas 2 miles from the bottom of the Crest and simply coasted the beast down to the Shell Station...when he pulled his helmet off, he was still smiling ear to ear.....Well Done....

Btw if you want to learn to ride faster just tuck in behind Wzl and FPunk....these guys ride the crapola outta those KLRs....

hope everyone is home safe...

I was up there today too. A friend of mine just got a Husky 610 and I had some new gear to try out. We rode up the Forest Highway and took SCD across to Little T. Only saw 2 other bikes. A father/son team and one truck on SCD.

Where is that water crossing? What road number?

Hey dudes!

Just getting home. Me and WT rode back on Pacifico, did another loop of 4N24, including 2 loops of little dirt rode near AF/Aliso junction. Too fun!

Pleasure to ride w/ you all today. Look forward to the next one.

Marty
