How'd you know I need a new tire?
I'll take those beers, I'm here to help!

I'm confusamatized.. Will we need adventure passes for the vehicles in our cleanup group? Or is that only when you are parked to camp or? Forest Adventure Pass Link

I don't think we will need a pass to do "community service"....but I have a lifetime pass anyway if needed.

On my way from Burbank to Wrightwood this afternoon on my KLR via Angeles Forest Hwy, Mt Emma, Big Pines Highway etc, I ran into very light rain from Hidden Springs Cafe to Mill Creek Summit. On the other side of Mill Creek the roads were clear and dry all the way to Wrightwood.... but it was cold.

Saturday afternoon, I'm planning to meet a couple of Adv Hack riders at the Yodeler in WW about 3. If anybody is in the neighborhood about that time, drop by and say HI.

West Camino Cielo Road update

I was up at Cold Springs Tavern last night, and talked to some riders that had just come off of West Camino Cielo Road.

They said the road was open,, but it can be closed if bad weather is forecast. Sure enough:
Winter Road & Trail Closures
- Certain roads in Los Padres National Forest are subject to weather-related closures. Most of the roads are closed just prior to predicted storms and are reopened once the road surface dries out.

I thought after the fires in the area this road was closed for a year, but I guess not!

If your not familiar with this road, it goes from Refugion Beach up and over to the top of the mountains above Santa Barbara. Spectacular riding and views...
