No, nurse Amber will be on duty in the ER, let's plan on not visiting her.......

I'll bring the first aid kit....(as always)

Santa Clarita Divide - the main road we take to all trails up on a certain area of Angeles Forest.
It's also known as the "Santa Clara Truck Trail"
http://tinyurl.com/crzgls (google map)

BUT, we usually meet at the 7-11 Joel mentioned, which I believe is this one : http://tinyurl.com/csvpo2 (google map).

Thanks for the info! Hopefully my little 1.9g gas tank will suffice.

you will need minimum of 3 gals...

the average round trip is about 80 - 100 miles.

Uhh... I have 2 Gallons too.
Only once had I gotten close to running out of gas, and that was on the way back down the mountain, had to wait out a car accident to clear up as both Qwiksilver and I didn't have enough gas to backtrack around.

Just make sure you can do at least 100 miles on a full tank, know how many miles you can go on a tank and break off when you are at around 30 miles before empty so you can get to a gas station. Or bring extra fuel. :-)

Depends on the bike....

the TW has just under 2 gallons, & the one time I ran out of gas it was at 122 miles, I had to rool the last block into the gas station at the bottom of the Crest (at least it was downhill)

somebody post the nearest gas station for BP88, if he's riding up from
OC, he should gas up again before he joins us

BTW, what time are we meeting on Saturday?

I make it a rule of thumb to gas up or top off at the gas station nearest the mountain just before going up - doesn't matter if I just filled up 15 miles ago, that might be 15 miles I could have used to get to a gas station. And not just for offroading, I do it on my road bike too. :-)

Wish they had real caps on the 1 gal jerry cans! I hate the permanent spouts! Would make it easier to transport.

I fill up at the 76 on Sunland & Glenoaks as it's the last gas station that I remember on the way to the meetup point. (I'm by the Burbank Airport)

I'm in for an (early) Sat morning ride! I will be starting out around 6:30 (@ the 7-11) Got some family coming over so I need to be back home around 11:00. I plan on hauling ass to SCD over to the back side "Sito's trail" depending on time go down Lynx's to Hidden Spring for breakfest the head home.
