All the time were up there, I would guess it was in the 80s, still very comfortable. Only when we reached Osbourne, it felt like in the 100s.

The conditions were perfect. I love that steep downhill ride on Lynx, no water crossing, but the stain on the asphalt section from Espi's supertanker is still there .

The whole ride looks totally different to me, coming from a different directions made it more interesting. I think that is the better loop than the normal we usually take.

I like to see more signs like this one

The Mt. Pacifico trail is like 12 miles long, but we doubled it up by taking the same trail on the way down.

Entering through the gate that is locked from Nov to May

Mt. Gleason and AFH below. That's where we'll hit SCD!

The trailhead to Mt. Pacifico and top of Lynx

From Mt. Pacifico facing south

The usual sight everytime I catch up with the FFs

Dunerat on his brand new 950SE

Bruce on his XL650

Mr. Punk rode his ninefiddy from Rancho Cucamonga this morning

SCD from another perspective

From SCD looking north

You can see, it's not even hot where we were

The SCD divide that none of us ever seen; this when you're coming from the east. Really looks different

Dunerat blasting again

I like FMFPunk's style being on the pegs most of the time. I bought Neduro's DVD and hope I learn something from it.

Not good, we hit pavement, Little T. That means the ride is over

When I got home, this is in the shade and it's just noon

I'm really glad we're able to get a good ride today. Thanks to Dunerat, Bruce, and FMFPunk for the company. Finally did the entire length of Lynx, and will be adding that to our next ride.

Hope you enjoy reading the report and pics in your airconditioned homes having your fav cold beer and smoke

Joel

Dudes! looks so fun and close by (for me).

Which one of these roads is best for a total dirt noob to join you next time?

I'd say pacifico. It's relatively flat and wide. Lynx isn't too bad except for one section that is a steep downhill w/ ruts. Mt Gleason/SCD would be fine. Just have to watch for traffic. We only saw a fire truck and 2 guys on dirtbikes going the same way as us. Lots of fun trails off of SCD. One of our favorites is 4N24. It kinda goes from Aliso cyn to the prison camp on SCD.

Most of the reports glorify bigger bikes, I need a thumper to write about. Your DR650 and a rider who can hang with the big boys is what the reader's want to see

John, we can organize a ride "Thumpers Only" and you will be the guest of honor!

Thank you Joel, I would be honored! Will there be shade, plenty of food and plenty of beer ? Or will this be considered work to where I have to ride my bike?

Gorman on the 28th and 29th

This coming weekend ride is to have it in Gorman! The temp will be anywhere between 80Fs and 90Fs. Much cooler than this past weekend.

Most of us plan to get there early morning, many are trucking or trailering their bikes.

Still have to decide which spot to camp.

Meet up around 8AM!

Anyone coming from OC, trailering? One or 2 guys have small bikes, and need a ride if you have the space.

Some will be camping Sat night, and ride Sunday as well.

There will be noobs and advanced riders. We noobs will stay on the easier trails, and the rest are free to go anywhere they wish.

Joel
