I can't say. Personally I'll cross that bridge if we come to it. Smogging bikes has been tried before but so far has been shot down when attempted.

No. I bought mine with a full FMF system which I really like. Ben still has the stock exhaust and has a lot of experience rejetting. Dave of Dave's Mod has a stock exhaust. J Mathis if you want to know what dave"s mods will do for your bike? Ill let you take Muttly for a spin. Just let me know. Ben
You guys have talked me into it I'll pick up the 55/158 Jet as soon as I can and get to work. This is the first new vehicle I've ever owned so I'm a little scared of cutting things off and drilling holes in it.

Yeah Joel,

That was the main reason for getting it, I use my bike as a daily driver and as much as I wanted a 450 Husky I needed something that could cruse at 80mph for 40 miles a day and the KLR's are just to ugly so XRL it was, I was almost temped by a Triumph scrambler (not for any real off roading) just for a minute there.

It is a bit on an exaggeration... I don't have time to do the whole thing on dirt. I will ride slab (mostly slab) to the Needles area then cut straight across to Prescott on dirt.

I don't get it . I can cruise at 90-95 mph for 400 miles a day or more. What am I missing here?

It's hard on a bike to run at high rpm's for a long time if you do that every weekday it can put a lot of wear on the bike.

F650 (Rotax) can easily cruise at 80-85 day after day after day. No issues!

I don't get it are you saying I should have bought your bike? What I really wanted was a street legal bike for the trail that was under 275lbs like a TE450 but I've got a 40 mile commute round trip, so I had to compromise.
