I agree with Big John, the 100 miles in the middle were very nice. The 50 on either side, not so much.

John I hope you weren't waiting for me when I saw you. I went straight across the freeway to get gas. I thought you would have seen me.

It was nice riding with all of you.

No prob.. I was waiting for you and then I jumped on the Fwy and did not see you so I figured you got gas somewhere. I hauled home got caught in a bit of traffic. I also found out my oilpan sprung a leak. musta broke loose my quik seal repair job. I guess I'll try again with more gusto. I sure don't want to try to find a replacement pan just yet.

Time to relax..

Great ride today.....8 bikes in all....(Post up when you can so we know you are home safe)

Rider of the Day........Big John Bundy....

He rode SCD....Wzl's playground...4n24 all with ease and style on a street tire shod 600lb triple...then the asshole leader ( ) took everyone from the AFH cutoff to run the top 3rd of Lynx....nice trails...water crossing and then that slippery climb out....Big John had 3 downs in 250 yards and never did anything but get back up and ride some more....

Longerday and Big E rode the 610s like champs....man those bikes are cool as hell...umm...one rider may have napped a Husky....

DanO and Rustler represented Team KLR with honor as they tore up the trails...

New Guy Tripi kept the new 990 up right all day so his wife won't get mad at him...

C-Dub ...well we didn't see much of C-dub as he was just too damn fast... ..we were honored to be there when after years of nap free riding his bike decided to go left when he went right...

I learned something new as well...when pinned under your bike after a failed sand climb...do not grab hold of the header as a handle to lift the bike off your foot...good tip there...

See you all on the next one...

OK, the photos are in (what little I have)
The first series is of our illustrious leader (NW) showing us how NOT to hill climb..
(I studied this procedure well and performed it perfectly on Lynx)
Unfortunately being the slowpoke that I am I was not able to get the best shots because I had just arrived on the scene after all the real excitement had already passed.

Is always good to have a little help from your friends.

Picture of the more Conservative bikes.

Where we came from

Party at the ZOO

Just before we head out over to pacifico. Tough gang they are..

AND that's it from me. I was just too occupied with keeping the bike upright.

Nice ride guys. Big John goes where no man has gone before (on a street bike). C-Dub is the fastest guy I have ever seen on a dual sport (ex Pro Motocross racer). Nowwhat wanted to make sure Big John wasn't a poser, and Big John said "any questions?". Everybody else just stared in awe.
