in the middle of writing a ride report for the opening day of the Crest.....

very little traffic, maybe 20 - 30 bikes total all day, most of them Hardleys and some cars, but not many.

no cops at all but this weekend will be different..... on top of the fact that this is a holiday weekend.

church sunday or monday will happen.
depends on who is riding and where.

so what's the plan ?

My wife, the dog and I left Burbank at exactly 2PM for Wrightwood in our Jeep. Exactly 2 hours and 70 miles later, we arrived in Wrightwood. This included navigating sides streets through Burbank, Glendale and La Cresenta to reach the bottom of Angeles Crest Hightway in La Canada. We were not in a hurry. I bet if I was riding my KLR or DRZ I could chop about 30 minutes off the time without to much trouble. Perfect weather...Great Ride

MONDAY memorial day ride !!!!

who's up for a ride on Monday memorial day

8AM at 7-11 in Sylmar off Osbourne off the 210

ride dirt on Santa Clara Divide ,Lynx and Pacifico to the Crest, ride the twisties to Wrightwood for lunch.

after lunch ride the 138 to Mt Emma to Angeles Forest Hwy to some powerline roads to Wzltech Trail to 4N 24 or take the Crest back to Pacifico , Lynx, Wzltech Trail to 4N24 etc......

Wrightwood has gas.

all the twisties and dirt before that would be WAY under 100 miles.
total possibly for the day could be close to 200 miles.

all pretty easy roads, would like to keep a good pace so it doesn't turn into a full moon ride minus the full moon.

LET'S RIDE !
