Back home in OC now. Thanks Artboy for that little tour. Aside from the fog and occasional rain it was a great ride. Hope your ride home was drier than mine. Will post my 3 pics later.

Seriously though, looks like a fun bike. Enjoy. Does it get a "105" soon?

SCD and a little more

I got a late start this morning, rode by 7-11 at 11:40, the inmates if any were long gone. Made it to SCD, first ride there in decades. Hmm, this looks new, to me anyway.

...and my opinion

I cruised East anxious to ditch the slab. I turned up 4N46 (I think), to get a higher perspective. It was getting cold and foggy already.

I stopped at the fork, and it took at least 20 minutes for my fingers to thaw out. I really wanted to ride to AFH, but visibility was too poor to gas it, and I was cold. So, I backed out the way I came in, but I had to get some dirt on this ride. I made a turn onto a little road I've wanted to check out for a long time.

All right, this is more like it, it's now warm and sorta sunny, and I have the road to myself...until

I round a corner, and a flash of animal races across the road and leaps up a vertical cliff. I think it was a coyote, but it was a blur, so I can't say for sure. I keep going, and stop for this pic.

I don't know what was behind the locked gate, even though I looked. It was too overgrown to really check it out. A little further up the road I saw this...

It was the access to an electrical tower.

The road went a little further, then...a rockslide stopped me from going on.

Two riders could probably work one bike at a time by this, but being solo I headed back. It was a fun little side trip, too bad it ended so soon.

A fun day, but too little dirt.

As you can see, we had twice as many riders as loner.

Artboy57

Checking to make sure everyone is accounted for before continuing.

When I got off my bike to take this picture, the sky was clear and blue.

Where pictures fall short.

Fun ride, safe pace. Hope Chris made it home OK.

the trail he is talking about is before 4N 46.

it is a quick little off downhill from Little T and has a 'gate' at the beginning that is not very wide.

Ben99r1 and I wanted to check past the rockslide, but had our eyes on other candy.

i think some of that land is private, so i don't know where it leads.

i've spoken to a few FF's that have grown up here about that road and mendenhall.

i'm always up for exploring!!!
