OK then

Sorry to take so long getting to this, (family stuff)

I brought my 15 y/o son Bob & my daughter's bf Jon along to ride with a bunch of people I met on the internet

We arrived about 8 am on Saturday, to find some folks already there & ready to ride, we unloaded, & went for our own warm up ride

Jon

Bob

me (Cathy)

When we came back from our warm up & the rest of the guys were back from theirs, somehow it was decided that we would accompany them on a ride on an "intermediate" trail. It soon became apparrent that we were in completely over our heads, but not till after I managed to fall down & hurt my foot. My son Bob had some bike trouble, so he & Jon turned back, & when they told me about that, & that the trail was only going to get more difficult, I turned back too, (I think I'm glad I did)

Back at camp

a snake decided to make its way onto the wheel of Joel's trailer

I KNEW that would be a great shot!
No animals were harmed during the weekend ride.

Cathy, after you told me, I looked for that snake and was gone. Me thinking of putting it inside one of the 2 RVs!

Final Installment

The Sunday ride ended up only with StuCazzo and I riding. Danny G was hurting, Steve's bike's dead, Notmybike....have to return home, and Dunerat had a flat tire.

StuCazzo riding down the steep giant boulder. It looks like a concrete slab that was poured in place to prevent the hill from falling apart.

The hill climb was so much fun that it has to be ridden 2X

A picture of me as amateur and noob! Look at the elbows and the lack of weight in front of the bike. BouncingBilly taught me how to ride standing on the pegs but , I keep on forgetting it.

Just one of the views we saw that Sunday

We made it across the park and to the kid's motocross track. We were not allowed inside after I introduced myself as Michael Jackson, j/k

Bikes are allowed as long you pay! We're cheap so we decided to turn around.

We got back to the camp and the whole place was deserted. I guess the gas price and the warm weather turned all the wannabees and posers away. Only Dunerat was the only one left and waited for us to share the food he brought for Sunday and enjoy the beer.

The chair and water bottle were abandoned by one of us! Dunerat offered to hang on to them until someone makes a claim

We finally found the Captain Morgan that Cathy brought, and the FFs drank it all. Hmmm, just noticed and I don't like where Dunerat's right finger is pointed!

Anyway, I found something that someone left and I'm keeping it, good to be in the 60's again

As we're about to leave around 2pm, some folks showed up

We hit the road, and good thing home is less than an hour away.

It actually took us a little longer to get home because of this

Thanks to everyone who were there and making a lousy weekend a worthwhile one!

I hope you enjoy our report and pics.

Joel

Water bottle is mine, I was hoping somebody had it.

We left a bottle of Cap'n too, but it was nearly empty when we left

Thanks,
Cathy

Way to go guys...great report. Hating myself for being unable to hit any of those trails. Definitely thinking of a second bike. Not that it was the GSs fault for me hitting that rock. But I would love to experience that single track and hill climb on a lighter bike.

As for my back, it still hurts like a mother F'r. Going to see my doc tomorrow. Think I will be out for awhile. Hope not.

Maybe it was the beers we had before we started riding, or if you'd prefer, you can blame it on me

That's a fact. Once I ate something, hydrated, lowered the tire pressure (d'oh!) and cranked the stabilizer up, things were a lot more fun.

And the tie-dye is mine, BTW. It's good for visibility, eh?
