Rock Inn Ride

Here's a few pics from the Rock Inn Ride...

Dual Sports outnumbered the Harleys when the ADV crew showed up.

I think Joel is making a move on my beer.

There were some nice rest stop areas.

There were some great views too.

When we left the Rock Inn, we turned right on the dirt road off of Lake Hughes Road, and headed uphill, it was very dusty. The homeowner below the road was motioning for everyone to slow down as his house and yard were getting dusted by the crew. I don't know if anyone else noticed that, but I think some respect towards the locals is due. He looked like a biker himself. ....just sayin'

Thanks to all for a great ride.

in less than a mile on a tight switchback, the trail claimed a nOOb; exactly the same spot i've seen 5 riders, including myself, had a little problem..

i was too slow for this one, but around the corner, another one got too friendly with the dirt....

m1jeep was back on the attack mode.....

we took the lower trail though there's a single track above

everybody knew the place to stop is in the shade..

sarah got back what she lost earlier

water crossing OC style...

marty showing it the LA style......

and pasadena pete too...

this one used to be flooded

lunch won..... can you tell the FFs were all hungry?

no rush for these guys...turned out to be ccer's group

the trail took us right near rock inn

I managed to get the wife and boy off to breakfast early today.
Took the new and improved 800 on a 200 mile jaunt.
Took a ride through Castaic to Lake Hughes Rd., past The Rock Inn to Munz Ranch Rd. When that ended, I picked up the power lines and rode to the wind farms near Tehachapi. I stopped and visited a friend in Tehachapi and high tailed it more or less the way I came. 105 F out there in the Antelope Valley desert.
Hopefully, I can stitch a bunch of my recent off road routes together and set up a nice ride for the group.
