new vegetation taking over the burnt trees from the previous fire
  thanks randy for coming back and search for the 2 lost FFs...   thanks to you too dave (thor grey jersey) for the search effort...   everyone loves the shade....  ...wasn't really that bad since we were close to 6K feet elevation.

while the FFs were sitting in the shade, i took off so i can ride dust free
next thing i know, septic passed me nonchalant...   then more, then this guy nowwhat style  and my biggest fear.....hordes of riders...   riding with these FFs...you'll never come home bugger free.....  then they stopped and waited so they can roost the nOObs again...   rich stayed far enough behind

dang...isn't this place great, just an hour away from my home
your're looking at the old ridge road our final destination   randy was big enough to be spotted...   seeing those riders far below...now it's dust free riding again   there's another slow poke  rare opportunity to see the FFs this close...   jab jeff on his reliable xr600  got skunked taking this dead end trail  we regrouped and aired up before hitting the road  we all longed to get to this place....grab some nice cold drinks....  i love my trusty 640A for a crashless and trouble free ride  again, thanks to all who came, especially those who rode from OC... you guys rock.. , and those pics posted by others are much appreciated...

Looks like a great ride!!!
I got out myself for an asphalt ride on my recently running GS. Crest to forest to mt Emma to Ft tejon -velyermo-big pines hwy to Crest. 140 miles round trip to acquaint myself with the GS. Good fun!!! Maybe next time I'll play with you all!! Great report H)8!!
