I was out Saturday on the DRZ, NOBODY was out! I did Sawmill to Gorman, then hopped onto Lockwood valley and took a left about a mile out of "town" there at the ranger station. Took the dirt up to Pine Mountain lookout and had a blast but was sooooo lonely. Who's done the moto-only trails up there? I passed 2, 1 marked extremely difficult, the other moderate.

artboy, we ride gorman all the time on regular dirtbike trails. we ride from hungry valley to the lake o' the woods pizza place. those are some good trails. i forget the name of the hard one but you can pretty much only ride down it. its about the size of a motorcycle tire and goes straight down along the side of the mountain. most of the other trails are very do-able for just about any bike.

Take the wr450 it will do great up there. I took my cr250 last year it handle everything really well. You mite want to take a smaller front sprocket just in case. Ben

Not much of a pyro, didn't care to stick around to watch fireworks. Decided to celebrate our Independence doing something that I enjoy, Riding!

4th of July at Newcomb's:

Not a full moon, but close enough.

Getting ready to ride, I love the colors! :

The Moon lighting the way... :

Somehow, I caught up to the Sunset O_o

The Moon over The City... not sure which city tho :

Night Riding, crossing a bridge :

Sunday,
decided to have breakfast at Newcomb's early in the morning.

Pit Stop to enjoy the scenery:

The Ranch, and others with the same idea as me.

Basking in the morning sun:

I keep hearing about this "Pacifico", and after talking to a fellow Dual-Sporter, I build enough courage to go exploring on my own. Luckily it turned out to be an easy dirt road.

Exploring Pacifico / Santa Clara Devide

I then realize I'm at a fork in the road, with no map, and have NO idea which way to continue! The "Street Legal Only" sign makes me think that way back to civilization:

I see where I want to go below me, I know that place! We've stopped there many times before! Now, how to get down there?

I study the terrain, and notice that 3n17 seems to go exactly where I want to go.

I made it down, and decide to go check out this famous "One Tree" I keep hearing motorcycle riders talk about...

Hmm... okay... I don't see what's so great about this tree. But decided to take a picture or two anyway.

On the way back home I noticed my Odo:

Too bad I missed the .1

hey sergio...you're a nOOb no more, but a super nOOb...

very nice rr and pics....keep it coming. looks like you need new rear tire...

a cool wedding reception will be at newcombs. all attendees must be on ds bikes and ride pacifico on the way up. gift cards from rocky mountain and motorcycle superstore are appropriate. only negative is FFs getting drunk and may ride home under the influence (liability issue), as if it matters...
