Golly, why didn't I think of that? I'm on my SECOND "so called" 15 degree bag. The second is way warmer than the first, but still not even close to survivable in 15 degrees unless I'm wearing a wetsuit underneath. And I have a supposedly warmer than a thermarrest Big Agnes pad.

Golly, why didn't I think of THAT! Now you tell me. I feel like you've been holding out on me this whole time. Also, for the record I didn;t ride off the side of a mountain, I flew.

You know you sure have a lot of opinions about my riding skillz for somebody who's never met me or ridden with me. I think I did pretty good Saturday, I'm glad you are so much better a rider than me. It must be nice to look at a track and know that you are a better rider, and richer and better looking than everyone else there.

I also think it's odd that you jump on everybody's back for posting about our backyard being on fire, you know the spot where the "LA WEEKEND RIDE" usually happens, but you think it's totally appropriate to discuss other rides here, rides that have their own thread even.

Thanks Sito for the ride yesterday...

Was series of interestign events for a few of us....After getting up at 4:00am we made it the staging point to catch Cribaby and 2wheelG.

5 minutes into the ride Cribaby got a flat...turns out he still had a 21" tube in the rear from his last flat... ...so he got his exercise early...

After meeting Sito's gang at the pinnacles we headed to Devil's hole... there has to be some freat pics from Klammer....and Xymotic....you did great bud...after the hole everyone transversed the 10" wide single track..that gave way a number of miles later to some fun higher speed supermoto fun.... ....

From there we decided that Malcom Smith was a good idea...that is where Xymo found that 40lbs of gear on a Black Diamond trail on the side of a cliff results in a four man recovery team... ..

1/4 mile into MS trail was a significant a loose climb...see Riceless...that split the group into 2....

At the top the four survivers found themselves in the company of a dead husky....Dunerat rode ahead to tell the others and Yzlvr, Dave and I stayed with 2wheels...

After 2 hours of farting with the bike it was time to ride Rich out on the back of Daves BRP...200 yards after leaving Yzlvr came up with a better plan....abandon the trail and slide down the SIDE of the F'n Mountain...We could see the main rd 1/2 mile away, but didn't know what was between us and it...

Once we were 100 yards down the side the decision was made as there was no and I mean no going back up...Rich manned up and coasted his dead Husky all the way with only 3 or 4 offs to show for it... ...he did great...

At the road we hid his bike's corpse and Dave rode him 2 up 28 miles back to the truck....I think those 2 are dating now.... .

The End

Hey guys,

Thanks for the help! MUCH better than the alternative. The bike is safely in my garage, going to Eric's next week before my trip.

Glad it all worked out.
I had to leave when Dunerat started eyeballing my bike and talking about husky donor parts.
