The TKC is gone in less than 1K....sheez and still with paper plates

Better leave it bald for the safety of the riders behind you.

Lepermasiah really looks like JC, and Herod in the background completes the cast

At 2 AM, you can tell the guys are tired

and still having a drink

another case of fugawi.......

After 110 miles of riding...gas became the essential

So for another interested newcomer. Who happens to live pretty darn close to there. You talking the 2 exit headed which direction. I am in Tujunga so just trying to figure out which side of the 210 etc we are referring too.

Do you alway's meet at that station?

How gnarly is the ride for this week or usually, is it "newer" rider friendly and will you have to ride Freeway to access?

I see from the night ride pics that fuel was a problem, there is no aftermarket tank available for my bike yet so I only have the stocker is that an issue?

And finally are their bailout points along the way if someone just cant hang

For this particular ride...2 exit...Angeles Crest Highway.

As for fuel...depends on the bike. I carry a few MSR 1 liter fuel bottles on longer rides. Also depends on how you ride. Dunerat with heavy right wrist will get less mileage than someone else on his bike. There are bailout points.

SCD is easy and can be done on street tires...the off shoots are looser but I've done them on Sahara's and only got stuck once in the snow. Lynx is a little harder, but not difficult for a decent rider.

Fill out your profile. Make it easier to comment.

I have two bikes right now until I unload the older one.
I have ridden my DRZ 250 out at Hungry Valley a few times and also up at Oakhurst. I've also swapped bikes and ridden my father in laws plated XR400 a little bit.

I wanted a plated bike for dual sport and commuting purposes so I have an 08WR250R that I haven't gotten the chance to get dirty yet. Its got Trailwings on it stock and depending on how I feel about them aired down I will either stick with them since they are decent on the street or go for some MT21's

I'm a noob but I own up to it and the fact that the only way to get better is to ride and learn from people. I plan on carrying some fuel bottles on the bike once I get my "dirt bagz" but they are back ordered for my bike.

So yeah it does happen to be a brand new bike, but its not a real dirt bike until its dirty and has some scratches

No experience with trailwings, but have MT-21 front on my bike. Works good. Have Scorpion something? on the back. Seems to wear fairly quick. 1 ride and the knobs are rounded off already. Be careful on the street when you put them on...very very slippery until you scuff them in!!!

Dunlop 606's are popular with the thumper riders around here.

Those WR's are sweet! With the fuel injection, you should get pretty decent mileage. Get some real handguards...the full wrap around type. I run Cycra Pro Bends and like them. They will save your levers!
