joel, you got it right - it was indeed a beautiful day today. Earl and I did a pretty good sampling of Rowher, then the fire road from spunky cyn to san francisquisto, then to rock inn and home. Thanks Earl, it was a fun ride. my camera was set on the wrong setting much of the day dammit, so only have a few pictures to show.

this one of Earl giving the 650 a dirt bath is one of the bad photos but i was able to tweak it enough to include it for your viewing pleasure

Dale, I had a GREAT time today! Thanks for showing me around.

I learned a lot today about my XR650L, and have a few things to buy for it.

The angle of incline in the underbelly shot is very telling! I thought I could make it, and had the momentum, but fell short near the top. The rear tire lost traction and I was unable to make it.

Here's a pic, I can only post one pic at a time, what's up with that?

Your attaching them instead of just linking them. If you have smugmug or photobucket you host the pic there and then use
HTML Code:

Yep, it was steep there, but I knew what to do; lay it over and turn the bike around.

If I was on my WR250 smoker with real knobbies, that would've been no problem at all.
