Putting on new bars, al bash guards, grips, and an al bash plate.

I put my new IMS pegs on this past Friday before my Silverado Canyon ride with some noobs. The stock pegs were a joke, WAY too small and whimpy! The IMS pegs are made from hardened steel and wide, but I had to drill out the mounting holes a tad to get the pins to go through.

The next set of changes/goodies for the XR650L are a jet kit, and a 4.0 gal IMS tank, most likely in Feb.

Otherwise, I'm very pleased with the bike. Its ability to cruise effortlessly at freeway speeds is amazing!

Are you going to open up the air box? Also I would change the air filter to a uni air filter. The jetting that has worked for me is 55/158. We should be riding around the same area's. Have you given any thought to using a 14 front sprocket? It will still run 75 on the fwy with some left to pass trucks. But it will make a big difference off road. Ben

Is this Odessa/Calico Mts on the 30th? Is that what I'm hearing?

Me, Vern, Biggiefalls and Tom(Ti-D-Bowl) could probably go anywhere around that time, Calico or otherwise. If you and Sito wanna ride then, that's all the better, maybe some mo FF's will chime in as well. Calico sounds interesting, I haven't been out there...where to ride...where to ride.....

Damn, I almost forgot...RAZR you got any picts from Sunday at Stoddard?
And by the way, thanks for the hand when I seemed to have forgotten how to climb a hill, that was my first crash since the big one.

thanks for the tow boys!

thanks Sito and Razr for the tow and helping my boy Riddler out...I would love to put the DRZ to the trials test at Calico, then when I get my KTM, I will have much the appreciation for the light and nimble!
the 30th works for me...let's ride!

Joel you're pucking killing me

thanks Joel, but

but I think I want to stick with the 4 stroke, can't believe I'm saying that but I like that low end and lug action, plus I think they are a little more reliable right
