i always appreciate good pics with composition. to achieve that, a good camera is needed, so i got myself a canon g10 which is noticeably better than the compact digital camera but not as good as the SLR. the g10 is bulky though i'm getting used to it; like it a lot too and plan to use it more often whenever possible.

good pictures are not easlily caught when on the run. i like your style jm, waiting for the right moment and click! hopefully you could post pics from forthcoming group rides.

btw, there's a legislative proposal here in ca to require skiers and snowboarders to start wearing helmets.....
I would love to have a g10 what a great camera!!! Shoot RAW its more work but very important if you want to take your photos beyond point and shoot. I can stop by some time and help you figure out all the amazing things that little camera can do.

On the helmet thing, that's lame if there making adults ware helmets how ever I just got one after watching my friend knock himself out at mountain high. Kids portable should be wearing one.

Mike- I used a remote trigger http://www.calumetphoto.com/item/CF0060/ the range wasnt very good and it was hard to shoot and ride at the time, there are many more failed attempts than success. I spent almost an hour trying to do a wheelie and press that button at same time and this is the best I did

heres 2 other not so great images of me playing around at motocross track I found near bombay beach

im going to see if I cant improve it a bit and wire up a bigger button and mount it in a esey place to reach and hold on at the same time

Failed attempts are called practice.

I've seen skydivers use a camera trigger they bite down on. Do you use that remote in your mouth?

Sooooo Tempting Javier!

I thought I was gonna die on one of your 'beginner' rides, I'm afraid to think what 'intermediate' might be like.
