Clayton's 610 is out for a while, which has me all paranoid now. Really sorry to hear that, but don't let them off the hook like Andy did. Maybe you and I should insure the hell out of them and go on a long trip. Who knows they might both catch fire in the middle of the night...
I'm laughing through my tears, that sucks did you rebuild it recently? Or is that stuff coming apart Maybe we should take a long trip to a KTM/Hausbreg dealer

Have you heard of "7 on your side?" Or other consumer advocate group?

A Lemon Law claim may be in order as well.
Thanks Earl I hope it doesn't come to that but if it dose I will definitely be in contact with 7 on your side. The good news is my wife is a kick ass take names lawyer who is more pissed about this than me. She's fighting, I mean negotiating with some German guy on the phone in the other room right now. Makes me proud

Cool, she knows what to do then!

Pisses me off that Honda won't stand behind their product!

They may not give me a hard time with the warranty but from what I've read on the XRL thread I'm worried.

I have 8K on my 610SM and have had no issues except for the broken stock primary drive chain.

Could you describe what that material (plastic, metal, rubbery, etc) is in the "finger" pic.

If you can ID the material, you can figure what component(s) failed and is floating around in your engine.

It doesn't look good by any measure; I would clean the bike, then take the clutch cover off, then check both screen bags, and take a look at the oil filter too! Then take a look at the valves to see if anything is in there lodged any where, etc.

Could you elaborate, which XRL thread?

It's metal, and it's magnetic.
The oil filter was actually completely clean. The screen filter had some small chunks on it too.

I have no idea what the part could be.

Nope, bought it used like a year old but with only 126 miles. And I think the husky warranty is like 90 days.

What brand/type/weight of oil are you using?

Any issues with hard shifting, or strange noises, etc?

My last change was first with Rotella, I think it was 20/50
No noises or problems whatsoever.
