That was a long way away. Notice how far the sound is behind the video when he slides out.

We only saw 2 other dual sport riders on the fire roads, and a GS and DRZ400 at Rock Inn.

When it gets warmer, we'll probably do a Gorman/Frazier Park run and take Lockwood Valley Rd to the 33 and hit Deer Lodge for bbq brunch!

I'm thinking about doing a as much dirt as possible 2 day trip from LA to Carrizo Plain National Monument to Santa Barbra and back to LA May 8th and 9th if this sounds like something you might want to do let me know.

I could do ether, I could cover more ground if the bike wasn't weighed down with camping gear but I do feel more ADV with all that stuff on the bike. If your thinking about going I'd be fine with what ever you want to do.

I don't think so Ben, I'm still tryin to figure out how to swing a trip to Pismo, I may just head up to Seattle from there so I wouldn't be able to change/get you back the tire.

Should be great weather for camping then. If there's a heat wave, it would be cooler in the mountains Pozo or Santa Barbara. There's also camping at Pine Mt. off highway 33, and Rock Front Ranch OHV off of hwy 166:

Sure was a fun day of roaming around. Started with the usual Mike's Cafe menu specials

Man on a budget ends up going with the $4 Ham and egg special, times 2.
Thank God Ruugger showed up 15 seconds after I took the picture. I forced my extra breakfast his way.

Starting at a non-usual start area right off the road.

Beautiful weather

The guys spotted this hill, I knew we were in for some challenges

This is a shot from where I stalled

Riding up this rarely traveled canyon, we met this little hill, it was steeper than it looks

Great place to spot some more climbs

The guys didn't make it up the first round, they were starting from a dead stop at the bottom. Once they started with a little momentum from the bottom, then it was easy.

Love her dearly...

Talking about going up the hill 1 more time

Even with the quick release digital camera, I still missed Nowwhat's berg on the ground. He can pick that thing up in seconds.

Bike on the ground, take the shot...

Another stop for some Garmin navigation, which I suck at....Ruugger says his bike is standing balanced without a kickstand..........WOW

Two seconds later and ..

Jawbone store dog while listening to some 80s rock

Decided to play around Jawbone, find some interesting hills before heading home. Nowwhat went up to test the traction and gave me the go ahead to........

We each went up this hill twice, awesome way to finish the day. It didn't seem like it was possible from across the canyon. Nowwhat insisted I give it another go and I'm glad he did.

Heading back home

Got some good videos to process of the hill climbs, hopefully can get something good up before the weekend.
