Week was too busy for a ride report, have to roll with just a video.
Last Saturdays adventures with Nowwhat and TravelToad was a ton of fun, especially when we stumbled on this little hill. Link to HD version

I finally got a full moon ride in last night. Stayed on the road for the most part. Started in the OC and now I'm here in Reno. :P

Let me know soon. Otherwise, I am headed for a short stack at Rock Inn and then Fish Tacos at the net for lunch..........

It's all my fault. The late start and all. I didn't finish a job yesterday so I'm going this morning to get this guy in Hot Spafxer Water.

The plan is to take the BrokeBack Beemer, and the 950 Adventure and ride toward Santa Barbara. Have never been to the OHV areas there. You never know, we may get a burger up in Jalama Beach too. Once on the road, it'll be a long day, but nothing too technical.

Toast. I think your riding riding the 690 a little hard. Its going to be tough to sell if its run down. Nice vid. Ben

highlights of today's ride

after taking jl class, we were given homeworks. so, i took my assignment at rowher today.

it was windy, mighty windy this morning. i got hit by a strong gust on the way up on little t and blown away. the bike slammed the guard rail and my right leg was pinned.....

turin = donut king!.... you better believe it, more donuts after the grinder left this parking lot

a 4 foot rattler on the side of the road at the rowher entrance

rowher stage 1 parking lot was relatively empty when i got there

oh, yeah...great tri-tip sandwich at the old oak restaurant on bouquet. thanks klammer for the route and food tip

red is today's ride......

really glad i went on my own. able to work on the drills jimmy taught us. not exactly a better rider now but my confidence level is higher and my riding is more relax. i need to start interjecting the proper techniques and replace a lot of bad habits......

not too late to get a ride this long weekend...have fun and be safe...

happy memorial day to all; remember all those who made sacrifices for as FFs so we can enjoy where and what we are now....

Guardrails, Rattlesnakes, High cholesterol tri tip sandwiches! You live a dangerous life Joel be careful out there.

Nice RR

Seriously I'm glad you didn't really get hurt on that guardrail they can do horrible things to a human body.

Good rr Joel. I have noticed that you been riding alone alot lately. Is there a reason? Ben

just lucky, and not exactly got slammed, the wind pushed me towards the rail and was in the pinned position for about 2 - 3 minutes waiting for help. eventually the wind died down, pushed the bike away and able to pry my leg out.

it was a beautiful day and all the time i was in rowher, i only saw 8 bikes and 6 quads. all of them were courteous, i guess it was too early so no drunk quad riders....

after exploring some of the areas, it made me realize rowher is one of the coolest ohv place here in ca. it was still green and not too dry. i surely want to return and continue working on the drills.

ben, everyone rides fast and i always end up riding alone...no wait a minute, there were hikers along side.....

personally, i will not ride my 640 or any bigger bike solo. the confidence i have with the lighter xr400 gives me more opportunity to ride by myself. a well maintained air-cooled honda, including the TW and DRs, gives me the feeling of false security that it will not quit on me and i'll make it home before sunset...
