We just got my wife gear, but she didn't have any so no hand me down type stuff there. Pressure suit all the way, it sucks about the cost. For women its even more of a concern since you have different ergo's.

http://www.gmo1.com/2006_SixSixOne_Y...sixone101y.htm

I don't know if you are tiny enough to be able to wear youth sized gear but this is the same suit as I have just smaller. If you are learning to ride dirt, or even experienced at dirt you have to count on the fact you WILL go down at some point. And when you do even if its just falling off the bike a bit having that suit makes a world of difference. Since it protects the shoulders/elbows/chest/spine/and has a kidney belt usually. Having ridden with and crashed with and without the pressure suit I definitely find it worth the money!

Oh also these GMO guys are in Canoga park and you can will call anything from their online stores. gmo1.com motorcyclegiant.com, motocrossgiant.com and just pick it up without paying shipping.

I like the added protection of the pressure suit, and you don't look like a transformer.

I've priced pressure suits. Uh...be doin' the roost thing until the finances can be got for the suit. (I'm one of those wierd people who lives without a credit card.)

I like that jacket with the zip off sleeves. Another thing to go on the "Dear Santa..." list.

Check out MX1West http://mx1west.com/ They have closeout sales with very good prices. The Acerbis gear is a very good value for the money!

Shouldn't all of this be in the Gear or Flea Market section? This section is for drinking , debautchery and riding . Not necessarily in that order.

We're trying to get me to that point. (Although I hate to disappoint you, I save the fire water for after the bike is put to bed. I don't want it to see me drunk.)

Too bad my feet are too big for a pair of size 8s. My rotten luck. Now if I cut off my toes we got a winner.

Well, looks like I will be staying home and eating a lot of Ramen until I can afford all this stuff.

Will go and look at all the links. Thanks.

And anyone doing some pavement time. I'm up for that.

I'm fairly small. Sort of small to average.

qwiksilver, I possibly have some gear I could lend you, for a dirt occasion...
I have my own gear, & my daughter's & son's

after helmet, I think boots are the most important, I also wear wm size 9, my daughter wears a 10

I'm sure I have an extra pair of goggles, (I had a hard time getting goggles to fit over my glasses, what a pain)

have you done much dirt, I'm pretty much a dirt noob myself

Cathy

Thanks.

My dirt has been confined to a cage:

I'm the noobest of the noob on a bike. All my bike experience is confined to dodging LA street traffic on a 50cc scooter. Yeah. I'm going to be funny to watch.
