Darn good thing you didn't have Dennis leading, or he would have lead the gruop up that hill !
Looks like I missed a fun ride, I hope to make the next one.

dennis is also a member of the LAWLK (go figure the FLA and whoever comes first with the correct one....you get a bonus.... )

I know the answer, but I'll give the others a shot. Clue is in post # 14538.
Great RR, Joel.

on the way back, ami and i decided to ride more dirt.

bouquet lake in the background; gorgeous blue water and blue sky...

we gained elevation pretty quickly

near the top of rowher

not my best pic of the city of acton

there's enough gas in that tank to get me home

though it was hot, having vents in our clothes and moving..the heat didn't bother us

ruts in many spots

interesting rocks

a helmet is all he needs; bu he'll soon know hot pipe and shorts don't go well...

on the way home, we stopped at the miracle of the tree; here's ami getting converted.....

made it home and the weather wasn't too bad

glad we rode and rewarded with a great time. good for me, lots of saddle time and able to work on my homework...drills, drills, drills...

hope you enjoy reading the rr and saw in the pics it was a beautiful day...

Time to get the dualsports on the road

Its been a hectic last 3 qtrs for me, with a new role at work, job training, weddings, business conferences, sale of of real estate etc.

This next week or 2 we should finally should be wrapping up some painting and ceiling repair in the house so I should get my home office back this week....
this is what it looks like today.

Anyhow the dualsports have been sitting since last year. I did put seafoam in the tanks before parking them so hopefully I won't have any issues with gas.

The first bike I will attempt to resurrect is the yellow DRZ in the pic below..

I'll put it on the charger tonight and if I'm lucky, I'll get the battery back. If it starts OK, I'll change the oil, service the filter and install a replacement clutch pack I have sitting on the self. If that all works, I will need to get a hold of Javier for some suspension work.

Once the DRZ is done, the KLR in the foreground is next. It is going to wind up being a tug for a dualsport sidecar, hopefully by August, but it needs a complete servicing before the conversion begins.

Soon as I get the DRZ roadworthy, I'm looking forward to seeing you FFs on a weekend ride in the not to distance future.

Brokeback beemer 'tard is back from Kernville. 425+ miles since leaving yesterday AM. Not much pavement at all.

Thanks to Cathy for the bed.

Thanks to Eric, Jon and Tom for letting me ride w/ them. It was very cool. Pictures later.
