Tahoe then Idaho
I'm looking for suggestions for accommodations in the Tahoe area. I'd prefer a cabin reasonably priced, but will consider most anything.
I'm going with my brother, he'll be on his HD. Mine is staying in the garage. I'm partial to my SE now. So slab only at least til we get to Idaho. We have a couple of loops planned already, including 108, and maybe Virginia City. Are there any must ride routes? We'll be there Tuesday, leaving Friday. Thanks to Javier for making this possible.

Back home. Finished our Piute ride and then waited for Joel and Co.
Actually rode back up Bouquet Cyn. and through Rowher. No sign of that pucker. Must have been a change in plans. Thanks Tony, Mike and Jim. I had a great day w/ you guys. Jim should be checking in soon.

Home, showered, and ready to get some rest... Over 350 miles today, and a lot of it dirt.
Thanks for the speed run Mike & Tony.. And thanks to the best tour guide in the local desert, JohnGil... He can get you out and back without touching much tarmac,,, ![]() Now, if we could just find that Pucking Puck Joel, and company. He did text about 7 pm... asking where we were. Of course he didn't say where he was at the time..

No spectacular photos. The boys kept me busy all day and then some.
0630 call time came quick after only four hours of sleep. Poor Jim had to get out of bed the earliest to make it on time. The brokeback beemer was anxious to get started and was thirsty. Brand new shoes for this ride. ![]() I was a few minutes early and decided to get a #2 and a little coffee. ![]() We took this poor guy in off the streets. Good morning Jim. ![]() These two look like a couple of grazing cattle to me. ![]() This is it. Only four takers this morning. Three orange, and one orange at heart. ![]() Tony's prototype invention, the Carmex on the fly dispenser. It's still in the testing stage. ![]() Over the shoulder. ![]() Our first stop. It was getting warm after our first little dirt romp. ![]() ![]() ![]() Needed to hop on San Fran. for a bit. ![]() Fuel stop in Mojave. Weather was great. ![]() ![]() Next stop was the Jawbone Canyon Store. ![]() ![]() Our goal was to ride up to the Piutes and drink Javier's beer. ![]() ![]() ![]() We made it, but didn't find the pucking cold beer. ![]() ![]() ![]() The ride back down Piute Mtn. Rd. was uneventful. Jawbone Cyn. Rd. was much tougher coming up. It did get to 100 degrees on the valley floor. Next stop (more or less) was the Rock Inn. ![]() Tony trying to capture the moment. ![]() We are now on a mission to find Joel. ![]() We waited and waited. I thought we were in the right place. Don showed up as well. Tony and Mike hit the road. Jim and I decided to backtrack on Bouquet and possibly find the puckers. We rode all the way through Rohwer and never saw them. ![]() ![]() ![]() I made it home around 2200. It was a long day, but I only felt it drag when we weren't riding. We had a great group. Nothing was difficult and the weather never bothered me. So where to next week?
