I'm in Fallston (Harford County)

Hey - I had no idea there were so many folks around me with DS bikes.

I am in Fallston (very close to Belair), I just picked up a left over 07 KLR650 and would go for a ride sometime. I've been taking some nice rides out through Rocks SP, then up into Fawn Grove and Delta. Rt 851 gets into some nice twisties and right now is one of my favorites. I have a family... so you know how hard it can be to get free time, but it would be cool to get together for a group ride.

Keep this thread going lets see who else is out there.

I want to throw out some ideas for a meeting place.

At first I was thinking about the little shopping center in Jacksonville at four corners. Where the safeway and McDonalds are located. It would be convient for Baltimore County rides and Harford county rides. It would also be very close to Loch Raven Res.

Next Thought was Silver Minning Company off York road near Papermill. Maybe we could meet there after work one evening and have a meet and greet over a beer? That could be a great place to meet for an evening ride?

Just some of my ideas please throw in your own ideas for a place to meet for a ride and also for a meet and greet. It would be nice to meet some people one evening and then we can think about putting together a place to go ride.

Monday evenings is good for me. who eles?

I'm in Ellicott City and have a 2007 Dr650, I'm kind of a newb on dirt but would love to do some DS riding. I may try and head out to Greenridge in a few weeks when the rain lets up. Weeknight meetings are generally no good for me but can generally get away from the wife and kids for a weekend ride/meetup.

I'm in Bel Air, and have an 06 Caponord. I'm looking for a used dual sport, but for now if there are any pavement or gravel rides, I'm in. I work Saturdays, but can find time on Sundays or during the week after work.

I'm in for a meet and great. I coach highschool rowing during the week in the evenings and usually have out of state races on weekends, but the season ends next weekend, and my life is my own until this fall.

I'm new to dirt and would like to get an idea of how technical the rides are. I don't want to hold anyone up. Additionally, my DS bike isn't much for street use (KTM530), so idealy I'd trailer in to a dirt bias ride.

Needless to say, if someone sets up a meet and greet I'll do my best to be there. If it's within the next week I'll just have the other coaches cover me for practice. I look forward to meeting other local riders.

You could count me in for a ride, or meet and greet. As a few others have said, my bike is not set up for much road riding, but if it were mostly dirt, I'm in. I'd probably throw the bike in the truck and unload it at the meeting place.

looks like the ride is for sun may 18th. We can meet at either the perryville or havre de grace park n ride. It will be a dual sport ride some dirt trails, pits, and the c+d canal service road sound like a good route. we had a triumph tiger make the trip last time. There will be some mud and some pavement. Basically a 50/50 type dual sport ride. Let's go with a moderate paced ride. I will be on my 06 klx250(300)s. But any klr, xrl, dr and any type of dual sport bike will be fine. I have seen a guy on a vstrom go anywhere I could on my bike so if you can handle a bigger bike off road you can probabley make it.

I'm probably in. Might have to change gearing to make the "new" dual sport a little more streetable. Currently ~50mph is about the max speed I like to run for any length of time.

I "upgraded" from the old ratty XR600R dual sport to an old but freshly rebuilt XR250R dual sport. Took it to the Delaware Enduro as a shakedown ride and it did great. Looking forward to doing some local dualsporting on it.

Open to anybody. Moderate paced ride. Mostly off-road. Some backroads & alittle highway. (I think- Dmars call)

MotoJunky - You'll be alright at 50. I'll be slow on the highway too.
