It's too bad these other fellows are meeting Sunday as well, I would have liked to met up with em; definitely next time.......
Yes, that's the one, Russel stopped over my house the other day and dropped off a flier, I am doing the D/S route also, I contacted the route planner and got the GPS file for the route and loaded it up in my garmin, I volunteered to lead another group of riders if needed. I am bringing my 625, so I am trucking it there, no way I want to ride it to Winchester, do 180 miles and then ride home on that bike. 400 miles on that paint shaker would be more than my bad back could handle. I'm good with if you want to hook up to go there, I may have my neighbor (Thisguy) with me trailering our 625's. He is not sure yet if he can go. Family commitments.....

Russell is a great guy, I have been riding with him in COG for years, I think he has been on every road in the tri-state area, he has over 200K miles on his old connie and just bought a new one, pretty incredible....

I'll be riding the XRL down, your are right, it is going to be a big day mileage wise. It will be a good test for me though as we are heading to Colorado in 2 weeks, if nothing else it will toughen up the back side a little...

Were you up at Greenridge for the Damn riders event? I saw Thisguy's name in the ride thread and that he was from Manchester too. I tried to figure out who he was on the ride but I only made it up Saturday night and Sunday and it moslty rained the whole time, still a lot of fun though. Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday.....

Not 100% sure that I'm going to make it, but I'm going to try. 650L, maybe I can hook up with you in the morning to ride over to Perryville since you're on my way? I didn't get a chance to fiddle with gearing, so I'll have a pretty limited cruising speed.

I don't want to sound like a 'nanny' or a hypocrite (since I ride there too), but can I make one little suggestion? With most of these riding spots, it's a good idea to not draw too much attention to yourself as you go in & out. Nobody can complain about you if they don't even know you're there...

I did not go to the GreenRidge Damn event, I was out of town, Thisguy was there, he is a big, football player sized guy, he was riding a KTM 300EXC and maybe his 625SXC (i'm not sure he took both bikes, he did have my two rail Holesclaw trailer)

Get used to it Steve, at least there's just one to worry about. I'm sorry I am missing this ride as well. If you want to go for a short local ride tomorrow afternoon, let me know.
Can't wait to see pics from the big ride.

As long as it's not raining (or seriously threatening rain) when I'm ready to leave the house, I'm in.

FWIW, it just started raining here in North East, MD @ 11:20 pm.

Weather

I think we're getting rained out. If its clear in the morning I'll go, but they are calling for showers & thunderstorms coming in the afternoon. Guess we'll have to see.
