I was watching the cooking show with the fat guy with the spiky blonde hair the other night (don't know his name- think "old guy running around behaving like he's 22"). They went to Fuel in Downtown Charleston- looked good, and the venue looks like it would be awesome for a dinner ride or something. Thoughts?
Don't eat oysters

Don't have a droid doesn't it work with the iPhone (best phone ever)

Been wanting to try fuel. I think it might be pricey for our group of misfits.

I'll be out of town for next dinner so my plans of the beer tasting I will either miss or you can postpone. Hell, y'all should go to Bowen's Island!!!

Road trip next weekend? GA BMW Owners rally

Any BMW owners or "wanna-be" BMW owners heading to the GA rally for Bavarian bikers? Looks like a 6 hr ride to get there, and some of the roads near the campsite are fantastic for the knee dragging set!
Here's link, http://www.bmwmoga.info/gmr/index.php
Current plan is to get a couple of hours up the road Friday night, and grabbing a room when I get tired. Starting early Sat AM to allow time to see the vendors and rest before the 1:30 Dual Sport ride (gotta get some dirt in). Pitch the tent Sat night; breakfast with the group Sun AM, and take a leisurely ride back home.

You're talking about Guy Fieri. Fuel might be a cool place to meet. OTOH he also did a shown on "Perfectly Franks" in Summerville when he was in the area, and since then, there's always a line of people out of the front door waiting to get in.

Somebody should scope out Fuel and make sure they haven't been overwhelmed since they got "famous".

I'd love to do it with the GS, but I'm closing on our house on/before May 4 and will have plenty to do after that to get ready for the moving truck on Monday. I'm planning to paint the garage walls (why do they not paint them on new construction homes anyway?) as well as clean/etch and epoxy coat the garage floor. It'll be nice to have a man cave and stable for my steeds again! Will let you know if anything changes.

I have fiend's old rotor for his 09 sitting in the garage. I'm not sure of it would fit or not.

Fuel is a cool restaurant with a decent menu. The prices are more "downtown" than "west ashley." That said, prices are still pretty reasonable. The downside to Fuel is that everyone in there is young enough to be my child, and I'm only 40.

I believe it will xref. Give me a call at 819-3172 (standard area code for Chucktown) and we can discuss it?

Right there with you in age.

I just called them and they said the entres run around 10-15 bucks. I don't think it's out of the price range of our group of misfits..

They also said anything more than 15 people they'd like to have arrangements made ahead. I don't think they'd throw us out if we just showed up though.

Can't make it tomorrow afternoon, but the weekend's open. If you can't delay, have a good ride.

Is anyone riding this weekend? Met up with a group of cruisers this evening, and they're leaving Harley shop on Dorchester at 10 AM for a ride to Pawleys for lunch at Landolfi's Italian Bakery/Deli. since I can't bear the thought of riding through or past Francis Marion entirely on pavement, I think I'll just take my own route through the forest roads. Call my cell or post here before 9AM if you're interested.

This Is Not An Oil Thread

For those of us who don't need $10.00+/qt. synthetics, Auto Zone has Castrol and Valvoline 10w40 dino motorcycle oil on sale for $2.99/qt. until May 28th. Usually goes for $4.99/qt.

BMW Engineers Working on Hard

I had a '93 R100GSPD. Think the anti-ED feature was an option that year.
