New SC Lowcountry thread

Just started a new Lowcountry thread devoted to low country rides. Spontaneous brew pub trips, Saturday afternoon rides, local festivals, concerts and rally's. Kind of a "what's happening around the lowcountry" thread. If you know of something coming up that would give us all just one more reason to get out and ride, please post it. Please check it out and contribute something.

Ride fast and take chances, Captain Jeff

Pretty sure we passed each other on 26 near Irmo around 8am. Couldn't really tell cause the median barrier was blocking my view, but it was someone riding two up in mostly black with camping gear. I was heading south.... TO WORK

Heading out in about an hour... we'll see you there!

Don't know if anybody would be interested but we are having the SCOTT firefighter combat challenge at the fire museum located in the Tanger outlet stores in N. Charleston. 2:00 pm to 7:00 today and 10:00am to 7:00 pm May 19th. It is an amazing competition.

Sounds good to me. Coast then Sesame. Y'all missed a hell of a ride yesterday. KTM 990, old airhead GS, new shiny (for a little while) GS800, KLR 650, XR 650, KLX 250 and the little Wee has a new Heidenau Scout. See ya.

Oh, we're working on a trip to the twisties and forest trails of Northern GA&SC and Western NC.
Carpe Diem!

Who's got the 800? I'm looking for a test drive.

I may do a fly and ride for one of these. I'd like to decide if I actually like it before I do that though.

Rollo, I don't have an ADVrider id, just one of the group from East of the Cooper.

Laura0107 is working on some routes to get us back in the Estill area this Sunday. You may know her from the Savannah River Rambling thread. Don't know who's making this one, but it will be a good bit of street. Let me know if you're interested in the weekend rides.

What's "rollo" mean?

Yes, I've known Laura for a while. Unfortunately on call all weekend til Tuesday morning.

You just missed a trip to the upstate and western NC last weekend. We camped out at table rock and went riding Saturday.

Let us know when you get the plans straight for the next trip up that way.

I think I'm going to plan for the fall camping trip to be at hunting island again that turned out really well last time. Who knows, it could be anywhere!

Rollo's his name.
Wish I'd known about the NC camp. Is there a specific thread or did I just miss it here?
The thread I started for the Weekly ADV rides around here is: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...errerid=161108
They are focused on dirt, but if you're interested, shoot me your email. I don't get on ADV every day, but manage the rides from email.

Not posting a link to the new, lowcountry event thread, was not necessarily an oversight.
I just don't have a clue how to do it.

Also, looks our young Jetstreamer pal has returned to the lowcountry and is looking to unload his cool Frankenbike:
