WOW, I never saw a TS400, but rode quite a bit on the TM400, motocross version, and it was a BEAST!!! Spindly frame, virtually zero suspension, downpipe with that easy to crush expansion chamber, and no reed valves. Power was like a light switch, on or off. Roger DeCoster (my hero in youth) slaughtered the competition with one, even made an episode of ABC's Wild World of Sports. Oh, you had to re-ring it every race to stay competitive. I'd love to ride that thing, and might even have a little vintage Bel-Ray MC-1 in the barn

Sorry I won't make the lunch. I'm heading to Abbeyville to see what an AMA Dual Sport Ride is all about. I'll have more details in the weekly ride thread.

Hmmm, 3-eyed pig sticker eh? You planning to skewer my WeeStrom? You better gear up a bit
I'm interested in seeing that DR. I understand they are very fast off road for a street capable bike.

Even faster with supermoto sprocket ratios! I just hope there arent any monster hill climbs, clutch might get a little toasty!

I could tell a story of a club race we held the day before the Armenia DS, where the club was separated into the Fast and Slow groups, and did head to head racing on a 3.2 mile course of woods trail and grass track, and the poor soul on a KX450 who found out just how fast a fat old guy in broughans and blue jeans can be...about 8 minutes late before penalty minutes for taking out grass track markers...

I did have a distinct advantage, having ridden the course a year earlier, and we were the first pair out. Tread Lightly was part of my race strategy! No sense in clearing too much leaf litter for my newb opponent!

Looks like the weather should cooperate and make it a nice night to go to the Brewery.

You're only two days away tops

Have a safe trip, can't wait to hear bout the trip. All you're missing is buckets o rain aside from being away from home.
